Second Mate

Jeongguk was in the car with his two comrades Yoongi and Namjoon following Park Kireum's car to a place they were unknown for.

The cars were moving to a quiet neighbourhood and passing its way to a secluded area full of trees covered both sides of the road. Junggeok at the back was amazed by the scenary.

Suddenly, his nose was smelling something. Even though its faint but Jeongguk could still smell it. It was a nice scent of sweet vanilla and it grew strongly as they got closer to a two stories house. Park Kireum parked the car and got out followed by the rest.

Jeongguk was so intoxicated with the smell he didn't realized his feet walked on its own to the source of the smell. Namjoon and Yoongi looked at their prince strange behavior before they locked their eyes together shrugged their shoulders.

"Is something wrong Prince Jeongguk?" Namjoon asked but the said man didn't replied him back. Jeongguk was too preoccupied with himself.

*It's our mate.* His wolf suddenly barked. Happily.

*Is that impossible? Why is she here?*

*I don't know but Jeongguk please we need to meet her. I'm dying to see her.* His wolf pleaded impatiently.

Jeongguk knew why his wolf was being like this. Since the bond with his mate was broken, his wolf had been closed himself. Jeongguk's himself felt terrible and dying inside. Until now he still didn't know the reason why she suddenly dissapeared. Finally that he will meet her again now he will make sure she didn't leave him again.

He quickened his paced to the main door not waiting for anyone else and sniffing to the air to inhale the scent. He followed the smell that led him to upstairs and arrived at the old oak wood door. The smells getting stronger as he opened the door.

His wolf felt giddy and excited to reunite with their mate. He was too but he kept his paced not to scare his mate. He looked at the front and a silhouette was back facing him stood still at her place. He growled a bit as his wolf getting impatient.

"Mate" he said in a low voice. He tried to move closer but all of sudden he halted his steps.

The moment he met her eyes, he felt surprised. His wolf too. He kept his gaze towards her but inside his heart he felt shattered but at the same time excited. He was confused. Sad and mad too. He couldn't describe his feelings now. It was full with mixed emotions.

He stood not too far from her. He was battling with his wolf tried to understand his situation now.

*She's not her you damn wolf*

*I know. I don't understand. Why does she had the same scent with her?*

*How do I know? It's impossible*

*But Jeongguk, I do kind of feel that she is our mate.*

*I don't want her. I want my mate.*

*She already gone for long. Maybe the moon goddess gives us another chance.*

*I don't care and I don't want to believe it!! I just want my mate! This filthy woman must put some spell to blind us to believe her as our mate. Who knows?*

*Believe me. She is nice person. Just accept her Jeongguk. No. No, don't shut me-*

Jeongguk shut his wolf down making his wolf whimpered sadly.

Jeongguk looked at her whilst moving closer to her. He felt his anger rose a bit at the thought of him being played around by her scent. However, part of himself wanted to just wrapped her to himself wanting to love her but he knew that was his wolf not him. He still couldn't forget his mate and he wanted to be as loyal as he could. Even though his mate already broken their marks. He focused his look at the women in front of him. He hated the way she look so calmed even though he could saw in her eyes, she's a little bit afraid. It's also shown in her movement. She was moving backward shivering.

She was scared.

Yaejin saw the man looked at her clenching his jaw. She didn't know why this man was so mad at her. She tried to look calm but her heart beated fast. She saw his coming to her. She moved backward until her back touched the shelf behind her. She clutched  her book tightly to her chest as the man stood closer to her.

"How?" The man asked. Yaejin raised her brows.

"Huh?"

"How can I feel that you're my mate even though I was already mated with someone else before?" His intensed eyes pierced through Yaejin. Yaejin stared back at him blankly. She tried to decipher what he meant.

"You don't understand?" He asked again but his voice started to be stern.

She finally understood.

He already mated but might be the bond was broken and unfortunately she was the second chance mate.

And he hated that.

Yaejin tried to speak but her words seems stuck on her throat. She felt sudden fear when she saw his eyes kept changing from dark brown to pierce golden.

"TELL ME WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?" Yaejin jolted her body surprised as the man slammed his hand on the shelf right next to her face. Her eyes grew bigger in fears with the sudden attack.

Sudden rushed footsteps came over towards them. The man was taken away from her and she felt herself being pulled to hug by her father.

"Damn Jeongguk. Calm your f**king self." Yoongi held Jeongguk tight as he tried to free himself ready to launch again at her. Namjoon also held the prince while looked at Yaejin asking for answers.

Mr. Kireum stood in front of Yaejin protecting her from Jeongguk. He himself felt mad but he tried to calm the situation first.

"Prince Jeongguk. Please calm yourself down. Let's sit down and discuss."

"Ask her what she do to me" Jeongguk demanded.

Mr. Kireum turned to Yaejin and looked to her eyes asking for answer while tugging at both of her arms but Yaejin shook her head roughly. She didn't do anything. Mr. Kireum sighed and turned back.

"Jeongguk ssi. I suggest if you really want to know the answer please let yourself calm and listen to us well. If not, then you can get out of my house and you can never get what you really want to know." Mr. Kireum stated firmly.

Jeongguk halted. He fought himself to calm down for a while thinking the man's word. His wolf still battling to get to their mate but he kept pushing his wolf off.

He needed to calm down quickly. He really couldn't play with this man. The man was capable to do what he said and Jeongguk doesn't want to take a risk of losing his only chance.

He closed his eyes to bring himself calm. Yoongi and Namjoon watched over their prince still not letting the man released.

Jeongguk took a deep breath after he felt himself calm and opened his eyes.

"Let me go you two. I'm fine now." Both Yoongi and Namjoon were hesitated to let go but eventually released after Jeongguk nodded firmly.

Jeongguk went to the nearest desk and sat himself down.

"Come have a sit."
