Second Mate

It's been a week sonce she spent her time at home. She rarely came out except the house backyard sometimes just to sit and read a book or practising her abilities. Since the house was quite far from their nearest neighbourhood, she had no worries to exercise her skills without people knowing who she was. It's kind of dangerous if someone saw her with those abilities. It was because people like her supposedly doesn't exist anymore.

She couldn't risk her life by being careless.

Most of the time she will spend her time at the mini library that was built by her parents to keep the collections of her mother's books and items.

Her father was out for work and usually came back later in the evening. She was not worry to be alone at home because the house was shielded by protection charm made by her mother.

She was reading a book when suddenly her father mindlinked her.

*Dear, where are you?*

*I'm at the library. What's up dad?*

*I'll be coming home early and I'll bring some guests. They're from my pack. They want to know something about you and your mother's pack*

*I suppose they are not dangerous.*

*Yes. In fact, actually the prince who is wanted to see you.*

She halted but didn't seems so surprised. She knew sooner or later someone will find out about her and her mother's long lost pack. But, the prince?

*Why he wanted to see me?*

*You'll be surprised if you heard this but he wanted to find his mate that was long gone. And guess what? His mate is one of your kind.*

Indeed she was surprised. Like surprise surprised. There was actually someone else alive from their kind? How is that possible? Did her mother knew about this? She was curious.

She shrugged off her mind. Hopefully she could give what the prince wanted to know.

*Shall I prepare the dinner?*

*No, it's okay. They will not be long*

*Oh, how many people are there?*

She assumed there was more as her father said they.

*Only three.*

Not too much. Okay.

*Okay dad. I'll be waiting here then*

She got up after her father cut off the link. She searched certain books about the pack tried to reread the details in it. She was too engrosed in reading that she didn't realized her father was back.

Suddenly she felt uneasy. Her heartbeat increased and she felt goosebump. She stood up back facing the door. She didn't know why suddenly she felt like this. She kept shivering that she didn't realize she clutch her book to her chest tightly.

She heard the door was opened and then a low growl tickled her ears.

"Mate."

Jeongguk was sitting in front of the man he really wanted to see. It's quite hard to find this man because of his situation demanded him not to established himself so much. Only certain people could reached him.

He wanted to thanks Yoongi for helping him finding this man. He looked at the man's face before he spoke.

"Park Kireum ssi. How are you?" This man was quite the same age as his father or maybe older. The man smiled at him.

"I'm fine thank you. How are you young prince?"

"Just call me Jeongguk. No need formalities here. I'm fine as well thank you Park Kireum ssi."

"Then you can call me uncle Kireum.  I'm your father's friend afterall. How was your father and mother doing?"

"The king and queen were fine. They send their regards to you. It's been quite long since you last return back to our place." Jeongguk was told that Park Kireum was his father's best friend. He also was one of the best alpha royals before he suddenly retired from his position left everybody shocked. No one knows the reason he left except his father and a few senior alpha royals. He just knew about it recently and that's why he needed to see him.

Park Kireum let out a small chuckle and nodded with agreement.

"Yes. It's indeed quite long I didn't return back there." He silenced himself for a while. Jeongguk waited for him to continue.

"My home is here now. I have to stay here."

"Is it because of your family?" Jeongguk  asked.

"Please state your reasons to see me." Park Kireum said avoiding Jeongguk's question. Jeongguk  raised his brows but he knew he needed to follow this man's way to get what he wants.

"I need to know about Silver Moon Pack history. The only person who knows about it most is you." Jeongguk  stated firmly.

"And why do you want to know?" Pak Kireum asked back.

"Because my mate was from that pack."
