Second Mate

Jeongguk ran so fast - he was in rage, didn't care the direction he went to, he just wanted to run away. He was so fast and that was not in his wolf form. He was so mad when he heard about the conversation earlier. He couldn't believe any of it. However, the strange thing was his wolf didn't feel mad as him himself but he didn't need to know why. His wolf already snickered at him. Yes, mocking him about Yeoni.

He came closed to stiff of the hill and slowed down. He let out loud angry scream and kneeled down. He looked to the front. The vast scenery of forest and hills in his sight didn't calm him enough. He closed his eyes trying to ease himself. 

Suddenly he heard something. 

'Jeongguk? Where are you?'

Yaejin's voice penetrated his head. 

He ignored it. Trying to calm himself.

'Please, Jeongguk. Where are you? I can't smell you. Please tell me where you are now? I'll come and explain.'

Jeongguk didn't respond. He didn't need the explanation. He just wanted to be alone for a while.

'Alright. I won't disturb you. Just, please come back after you calm enough. I-I- we need to talk.' He heard Yaejin said after quite a while he fell silence.

'Go home Yaejin. I'll meet you later.' He monotonously said. He didn't care of anything right now. He just wanted to sit down watching and thinking.

But then, he realized something. He wondered why was he mad. Did he still had feeling towards Yeoni? No, he did not. He was just mad about - wait, what was he mad for? Then, he was struck by something. He shouldn't suppose to be mad anymore. He already had Yaejin. The one he should pay attention to and love more. At that time, he realized his exact feeling.  

Was he a fool? Mad at something that he supposed not to bother anymore. 

*Glad you realize it already. I was thinking if I can form myself in front of you, I will hit your head so hard, you fool.* JK complained.

*As if you can. But I admit I'm stupid.*

*You should go back to mate. I can sense she is feeling a bit sad.*

*Yeah, I should say sorry. I think I hurt her feeling unintentionally.*

Jeongguk got up, dusting away the dust on his back and walked back.

Yaejin walked slowly turning back after mind linked with Jeongguk. She could feel his emotion but it was subtle. That's mean he was not that far but not so close either. She couldn't find him as she can't smell him but she could feel his presence. She was thinking this might be her way to find her mate and Oh moon, she really wanted to but Jeongguk already sent his message that he didn't want to be disturbed. She had to comply it.

She was sad though. The way Jeongguk acted earlier looks like he was mad enough. Like he was still had feelings on his former mate. Like he didn't want to believe that Yeoni wasn't his mate and it hurts Yaejin. 

She questioned herself that if their mating was a right thing to do when Jeongguk still think about Yeoni. Was he regretted it? 

Was she regret? She shook her head. No, She didn't regret it. It was needed after all for both of them to mate. To fulfill the prophecy will. If it can save the world they live in, she is willing to sacrifice her feelings. 

She's willing to wait. Maybe, one day Jeongguk will accept her fully. Even though she can only dream about it now but she will never lose hope. Maybe, one day her love will be returned.

But- what if suddenly Yeoni come back and demand to be with Jeongguk back?

She stopped her track in the middle of the forest.

She didn't want think about it but she can't help to wander about it. If Yeoni did come back and realized Jeongguk mated with someone else. What will she do? Will Yeoni fight back for her place?

Will Yaejin defend her place? 

What will Jeongguk do?

Fighting for their relationship or ditch her and go to Yeoni. Which one will he take?

Yaejin didn't realize she started to walk again but kind of wandering somewhere else. Her mind was full of thoughts. She keep walk and walk without looking her direction.

But then, she heard something. She stopped and looked at her surrounding. She was surprised that she was far from her original direction. She needed to find back her track but she could't move. She heard something again.

She looked around trying to find the source of the sound. At this time, she was hoping to have werewolf traits. She could use it but sadly she can't.

She was looking around when something hit her on the head that cause her to feel dizzy suddenly. She had to touch her head as she felt the pain. Her eyes were blurry as the hit did affect her sight and her head. It was hurt. She stood still to maintain her balance but she felt down on one knee trying to support her body.

"Well, well. Finally I found you." She heard someone said. And it was a woman voice.

She tried to look at that person but her eyes were still blurry that it was hard to recognize the face. She tried to get up.

"Don't try to move princess. You can't stand the pain. How stupid of your mate to let you alone in this thick forest. And how stupid are you to wandering around here. Wishing to be dead early?"

Yaejin was shocked. She didn't realize she was in loss of thoughts that she let herself in danger. She tried to chant some spell to protect herself but nothing happened. How is this possible? Why can't she use her magic?

"You can't use your spell. Must wondering why do you? I make a barrier so that you can't use your spell. And also your mate can't find you. Now, sleep princess. I'll bring you somewhere."

"No, you can't take me." Yaejin tried to move but she felt her eyes getting heavy. She tried to fight but she felt more sleepy.

She heard low chuckle.

"Sleep my dear sis. Master will be pleased to see you."

Those was the last words she heard before she closed her eyes.
