"momo and jirou became good friends. they're always next to each other - frequently on official art.

at that mall incident that i forgot the name, momo and jirou clearly wanted to keep each other's company when the group disbanded to different directions.

jirou attended momo's tuttoring despite not needing it.

they're always seen in the background with little interactions. interactions that show, like, at least some kind of intimacy.

sure. they do not hold hands. they don't have significant canon exposure. but they are good friends. they care about each other. they are supportive over one another, even protective.

also, i don't know how to elaborate on that, but i loooove their dynamic. they're obviously different, having significant different traits of personality. like, jirou would see someone, i dont know, graffiting a wall and would think to herself "hell yeah. punk rock", while momo would worry about rules and stuff (despite having disrespected authorities in canon). It's like they are some kind of opposites. i think they would probably have a pretty great "balance each other out" kind of relationship. and these ones for me are literally the best

personally, i don't think it's a fair question to ask "why should i ship them?". to that, i reply with "why shouldn't you?". i don't need reasons to ship them, because i feel like they have stories to tell. and i would like to hear them."
