I had to get back that phone, I thought to myself. What was going on with me? I had been very messed up in the past couple of weeks. I had run away, blown a huge opportunity to live back with my mum and sister. I had bumped my had really badly. Met a 19-year-old doctor, who was actually interested in me. Had a big fight with Amy and got my phone confiscated. What had gotten into me? I needed a good slap out of it. I decided I was going to get that phone, whether Maria liked it or not. I stormed into her office, with my head held high, I didn't even knock.
"Maria, I-" I stopped as I noticed my Mum in the office.
"See Alexandria, this is the type of behaviour we have to tolerate. Invasion of privacy, and its awfully rude." Maria spoke to my Mum. My Mum turned to look at me.
"What is wrong with you?" She said.
"It wasn't even me." I defended myself.
"Are you crazy or what? Do you know what, with this behaviour, I'm not even sure if I want you living in my house!" I froze. Did those words really just leave her mouth? I stood there, shocked. I unfolded my hands as my confidence unravelled.
"What?" I said, really quickly.
"Me and your sister have been getting on really well. I've never experienced this type of behaviour, so I would't know how to deal with it." Mum replied.
I smiled, in disbelief. I wasn't smiling because I was happy. I was smiling at how pathetic what she just said sounded.
"You don't want me?" I clarified.
"Maybe we can give this whole mother daughter thing a try. But not right now. In a couple of months, yeah?" Was she serious?
"Stuff you!" I shouted, as she received a sharp slap from me. I pushed Maria out of the way and made my way to the draws, were she kept our phones. I took mine and placed it in my pocket. For the sake of it, I took Amy's and smashed it against the wall. I watched her expensive phone smash into little pieces then land on the floor with a thud. Mum was still holding her cheek because of the smack. She deserved it, how dare she deny me.
"You can stuff you and stuff this place!" I screamed, as I stomped up the stairs. Other people from Gee's Unit watched me rebel. I slammed the door of my room hardly, so hard that the handle almost came off. I grabbed my suitcase from underneath my bed and chucked whatever I could find in it.
My suitcase was ripped and tattered, as I had used it on many occasions. I slammed all my close in there messily. I needed to get out of there! I zipped the suitcase up, then proceeded down the stairs. No-one even bothered coming after me, proved how little they cared. I fumingly marched out of the gates and into the real world. I sat on my suitcase after I was outside the gate, then realized what I had done. What a stupid decision I had made. Where was I going to go, where was I going to stay? I couldn't go back to Mum's and that was for sure. I didn't even know if she would forgive me for what I had done to her. Served her right though. I told myself that even if I had lived with my Mum, she would probably go back to drugs and I would be neglected, and it would be like I was 3 all over again. I took a deep-breathe in and tried to plan together what I was going to do. Then it came to me, The doctor!
I hopefully took out my phone and re-dialled the call had earlier missed. It rang and rang, but there was no answer. That's it, I thought, I'm screwed. I turned around, back towards Gee's Unit. Then I felt a vibration in my pocked, and music started to play. Ahh Huh, Ahh huh, Yo a yo, I was on the plane wit Dewayne
You can call me whitley I go to hill mane. That was my ring tone. It was by Nicki Minaj, I had a slight obsession.
"Hello?" I answered, hoping it was him.
"Yeah hello? Hi. You called me?" It was him! I quickly ran back around the corner to where I previously stood. I tried to hide the excitement in my speech as I spoke.
"Hi. Let's meet up?" I asked, rushing into things.
"Now? Sss" He asked, as he sucked up his air. It was around 9, so he couldn't be working. That was the moment of truth, if he said no, he wasn't into me. If he said yes on the other hand..
"Er?" He said. I waited, heart pounding louder then the connection of Mum's slap.
"Sure, why not? Where do you want to meet me?" Yes! I have scored a fit doctor who was into me!
"Actually, change of plan. Can I come to yours, I need to drop something?"
He sounded unsure, and I could almost hear him down the phone screwing his face up.
"What is it?" He asked.
"It's a surprise." I insisted.
"Erm, OK." He sounded so confused, bless him. I screamed in excitement down the phone.
"Okay so where do you live?"
"I'll text it to you." He replied.
"OK. And, er, I still don't quite know your name."
"Call me Oliver." He said. Oliver, what a nice name. Didn't quite know what it meant though. I assumed it was a name that came from Olives which was still good, even though I hated olives.
"OK well, OLIVER, I guess I'll see you later then."
"Bye." I didn't quite know what to expect, but I decided I would live in the moment.
Moments after I had hung up on him, my phone vibrated and then a song played. Shawty, I'm only tell you this once you the illest. Another Nicki Minaj song, I told you she was an obsession. But this time it wasn't my ring tone, it was my message tone.
"I live at 67a Grechant Road, Barkford, London SS15 JG7. cnt w8 2 u x x x x"
I smiled. He put 4 kisses, that had to mean something, surely. He lived about 20 minutes away by the tube. I hadn't heard of Grechant Road before though, but I was determined to make my way there. I dragged my suitcase to the tube-station as I wondered, what would happen next?
