Pidge POV

After Lance told me to go to sleep, I'd done just that. Normally I wouldn't have listened, and continued working on something else where no one could see, but this time I'd decided to do as I was told. And I was glad I had. I wouldn't have gotten a lot done anyways.

I woke up and hour or so later to an amazing smell coming from the kitchen. My stomach growled and I looked forward to eating something. It would be nice to actually eat with everyone else for once. More often than not I had something important going on and had to eat in the control room. People had more than once offered to sit with me but I'd declined. It wasn't the most comfortable place to sit, and I wasn't thrilled over the possibility of food on my computers.

I was about to get up but only got halfway before falling back down. I groaned and rubbed my ribs. I had forgotten to take my binder off, and it felt like my ribs were about to break in half. I cursed and tried to get out of it. I knew I'd already worn it for too long but I still wasn't happy about changing into a sports bra I'd grabbed from the floor.

I sighed and looked out over the mess that was my room. There were cloths all over the floor, shelves littered with strange devices from all around the universe and a fair amount of junk.

I got up and walked over to the kitchen. Hunk was standing by the counter cooking something. "What are you doing?" I asked as he turned around, smiling at me.

"I'm making breakfast, or maybe lunch... I don't know what time it is... Anyway, you want some?"

"What is it?" I asked, still suspicious. "And has someone tasted it? I don't mean to insult your cooking, but you know I'll never forgive you for last time."

"Yeah, it's perfectly fine. I promise."

"Guess I'd like some then." I said.

He handed me a plate with some pale, mushy, almost pink stuff. I'd long since learned not to question the look of it, all food in space seemed to be some kind of colorful goo. I sat on the tabletop and took a bite, at least it tasted better than it looked. "This is great, thanks!"

"You're welcome, and by the way, have you seen the others? Might as well eat together."

"I haven't, but they'll probably smell food and come here soon anyway."

"Yeah." he laughed. "When have they ever missed a meal."

We soon heard approaching footsteps and Allura stepped in through the doorway. She looked at me in surprise and was about to say something before I stopped her. "Don't mention it."

"Oh, okay, what's going on?" she asked and glanced over at the food.

"Nothing much, do you want some.. Eh, Dinner? Breakfast? Whatever, it's food."

"I'd love to, thank you!"

"Yeah, I'll just go get Lance." I said and put my plate down on the counter.

I started walking towards the bedrooms and stopped by Lance's door. I knocked and waited for a moment. When I didn't get and answer I knocked again, but still no one answered. "Lance, are you in there?"

The room was quiet so maybe he was sleeping or something. I knocked again before taking out a key. The doors had some kind of magnetic lock, and it had been easy making a key that works on all of them. I unlocked and opened the door. There were cloths on the floor. The bed was unmade, and one of the many posters had almost fallen down. It didn't look any different from last time I'd seen it except that it was empty. Maybe he was training or had gone to Keith's room or something.

I did the same at Keith's room but didn't expect a reply. Just as I'd thought I didn't get any and I unlocked the door and opened it slowly.

I'd thought he was just ignoring me and expected to find him there but it was nothing. His room was the opposite of Lance's. The bed was neatly made and there were not a single personal item. It looked uninhabited, lacking any trace of the person living there. I was surprised he wasn't there since he hadn't left his room since we'd saved him from the Galra.

I checked the training room, the living area and at last the hangar. The two first gave nothing but as soon as I entered the hangar I knew something was wrong. One of the smaller ships was gone and there were footsteps in the dust around where it used to stand.

I hurried into one of the smaller rooms by the side and turned on the screens for the security cameras. It was easy enough to find a feed from earlier this morning and it showed Keith and Lance talking. There were little to no sounds, so I had no idea of what was said but they soon climbed into the ship and flew out into space.

"Oh no, they did not fucking do that." I muttered and turned the screen of.

I went back to the kitchen where the others had already started eating and stood by the table in front of them. "They took a ship and ran of somewhere. I don't know where, but I'm gonna go and fucking find them."

They just looked at me for a second before Allura spoke "I'll come too." She stood and put her plate away. "How are we supposed to find them?

"I have no idea but the ship is easily tracked so that's a start." I said. We soon returned to the hangar and started up one of the bigger ships. I downloaded the program needed to track the other ship, and we started the search.

After maybe twenty minutes of searching the small ship came into view. I pointed it out to Allura but the closer we got, the more I realized that something was wrong. No matter how close we got the smaller ship wasn't visible on the radar of ours. Either the engine must to be turned of. The ship had malfunctioned or run out of fuel.

We stopped our ship a small distance from the other and quickly exited and used the jet-packs on our suits to fly to the other ship. Allura and I tried getting the door open but when it wouldn't budge. After the fourth attempt I took my bayard and severed the hatch. We entered the small room on the other side, and I typed the code that'd close the first door and open the second one into the ship. Everything was dark except for a number of red lights blinking on the control panel.

"Hey guys? You in here?"

There were no sounds. I proceeded to take off my helmet but soon regretted it when I realized how low the oxygen levels were. It was almost impossible to breath and the ship was freezing. I quickly put the helmet back on and advised Allura to do the same.

"Maybe they aren't here after all." Allura suggested and I shrugged. Everything looked to be empty until I pushed open the door to the small room behind the main control room. There were blankets all over the floor and two figures sprawled in the corner, desperately clinging to each other.

I rushed forward and knelt beside them. "Hey guys, are you okay?" I whispered while trying to get Lance's attention. He didn't respond and neither did Keith. "Wake up. Please just wake up." I begged. They were all I had, and I couldn't stand the thought of loosing them too. But no matter what I said or did, they didn't moved. They were both seemingly unconscious but continued trying to wake them until Allura grabbed my shoulder. I spun around facing her. Tears were streaming down my face and tried to say something but couldn't get the words out.

"Come on, we have to get them back to the ship. Fast." Allura said and we did just that.

That ending tho, I too tired to end this thing properly -_-
