Lance POV

"It wasn't a dream, I was there and I am real. Not dead, I don't know why you think that but you're wrong. We are in the castle, in one of the rooms behind the infirmary. Pidge and Hunk and the others found us in that ship and they brought us back here." I paused for a moment. "Do you understand?"

"No. It can't, you must be lying- It had to be a dream, it always is."

"No, it's not."

His face changed from incomprehension to shock to anger and sadness in less than a heartbeat. "But then.. If it wasn't a dream... it's all my fault- How could I do something like that?...Oh god I almost killed you. I..."

Tears streamed from his eyes as I grasped his hand and interrupted him before he had the chance to continue. "No you didn't. You only gave me the opportunity and to be honest, sooner or later I would have taken it, with or without your help. I'm just glad that I wasn't alone." I said with a wry smile. Suddenly he crossed the space between us and threw his arms around me. I froze for a moment but then put my arms around him, the embrace was warm and to be honest pretty nice.

"This isn't very much like you, you know." I mumbled, but couldn't keep the smile from spreading.

"Shut up you jerk." he muttered into my neck. I could hear the smile in his voice. We just sat there for a while. Not talking, not moving, and for that moment it truly felt like everything was going to be okay. No matter how messed up our lives were, we would always have each other.

Idk if I'll ever even finish this. Had some things planned but wanna start on something new (again)
