Battle Of Love

NO POV

It was Springtime in the town of Magnolia, and for once, the city was peaceful. In the center of town, we find the #1 guild in Fiore: Fairy Tail

"Do you wanna go Flamebrains," shouts Gray (the renowned stripper).

"Come at me Ice Princess," Natsu yells back. Gray and Natsu start going at each other, destroying all in their path.

"I cannot wait to taste this very special strawberry cake that I got from the new bakery, that opened down the street!" exclaimed Erza as she opened her mouth to take a bite of her cake, but before she could enjoy her cake...Natsu and Gray accidentally slammed her face into her cake.

"Ooh, your in for it now." says a drunk Cana, sitting at the bar.

Gray and Natsu freeze in their tracks and look up to see an extremely terrifying Erza glaring at them. With terrified expressions on their faces, they attempt to escape the mighty wrath of Erza, but everyone knows that it is pointless to try.

"You ruined my strawberry cake!!!" Erza shouted as she requiped into her Demon Empress form/outfit. Erza smacked Gray and Natsu so hard that they hit the back wall of the guild hall.

"Don't hurt them too bad Erza," Mira says.

"Take the hits like a man." Elfman shouted.

"Salamander needs to learn how to use his head, Tch." Gajeel remarks.

Lucy arrives at the guild hall to see Natsu and Gray being beaten by Erza, and everyone else was watching/yelling at the show. "Do I even wanna know what happened here?" Lucy asks sarcastically.

"Well long story short, Natsu and Gray accidentally smashed Erza's face into her strawberry cake...and well you can probably figure out the rest." Happy said to Lucy.

"Well I for one think that they are acting like complete idiots," Carla said.

"I think they should all stop fighting," Wendy says.

"You know how Natsu and Gray are," Lucy sighed happily as she went up to the bar to talk to Mirajane.

Lucy POV

"Hi Mira, do you think I can get my usual, and a plate of chicken wings for bone head over there," Lucy says referring to Natsu, who was still being beaten by Erza.

"Sure thing Lucy." Mira smiles at me and then goes to fix my order. I look over my shoulder to see Erza calming down and Natsu still laying on the ground, this makes a small smile appear on my face.

"Yoohoo...Lucy," Mira says trying to get my attention, and I snap out of my daze. "Lucy, were you staring at Natsu?"

"Wha...what n-no I wasn't!" I say quickly, stuttering a bit on the last part as small blush covers my face.

"You totally were...you know that I ship you guys as a couple." Mira says, which only makes my face turn a darker shade of red that rivals Erza's hair. "Hey Natsu, Lucy bought you some chicken wings," Mira shouts to Natsu, which makes him jump up...fast! I glare at Mira as Natsu plops down in the seat beside me.

"Thanks, Luce," Natsu says giving me his signature toothy grin. I just laugh as he starts to devour his food. 

"You're welcome Natsu," I respond, laughing at Natsu because he keeps making weird and funny faces. Natsu has a really cute smile...wait what am I thinking! Natsu is my best friend and a bozo, who makes me laugh and is always there to cheer me up. Stop it Lucy! Get it together!  

"Lucy, did you hear what I said?" Natsu asked.

I snap out of my daze and look up to see Natsu staring at me. "Huh...um what were you saying?" I felt kinda bad for ignoring him, but my thoughts got the best of me.

"Well, if you were listening, you would have heard me ask you if you wanted to go on a job?" Natsu said/asked rhetorically. 

"Sure, sounds good." I sat there trying to ignore the thoughts in my head and what Mira said. Before Natsu could say anything back...Master Makarov yelled to get everyone's attention.

NO POV

"Ok my children, as you know Fairy Tail doesn't have any events planned this month...so I have decided to hold a competition. It is going to be a last man standing type deal and the competition is going to involve teams of two pick by yours truly." Master announced and the whole guild cheered and clapped.

"Woo a competition...this is going to be great. I hope it involves fighting...I'm all fired up!" Natsu exclaims.

"Just know that I am going to kick your butt flame head," Gray remarks.

"Oh yeah Iceiscle."

"Yeah! Fire breath," Gray says as he gets in Natsu's face.

"Ice perv!"

"Dragon boy!"

"Elsa!"

"That's enough!" Erza shouted as she hits both boys in the head.

"Yes ma'am," Gray and Natsu both say in unison.

"Okay that is enough," Master shouts. "Now as I was saying, the competition is going to test your survival skills in the wild. You will be paired in teams of two that Mira and I picked out."

Everyone had a worried look on their face, after hearing that Mira had helped pick out the teams. Mira just smiled and everyone groaned. They all know how Mira can get with her pairings, especially if it is a two-person team event.

"Now let me explain what the competition is," the master said. "You are all going to be in teams of two(sorry I keep repeating that part) and you will be competing on Tenrou Island. This competition is going to be one that testa your strength, skills, brains, and more. You will all have to survive on different parts of the island for as long as you can. The winner gets a prize of 100,000 jewels, but I have chosen only 9 teams." Master Makorav finished saying.

The guild hall erupted in questions like 'Who are the teams?' 'What are the rules?' 'How many teams did Mira help pair?'and 'When do we get started?'

"I know you all have many questions that you want answered and you will get your anwsers in due time. I will announce everything later in the day. For now just go back to what you were doing." Master said as he went back into his office.

The guild went back to what it was doing, but the big thing everyone was thinking was, 'Did I get picked?'
