"I hope. . . up. ."

I heard a voice.

"Come. . . get up. ."

Feeling weight on my head, I started slowly opening my eyes. "There we go. Just a little bit more," said Scarlet in her sweet voice

Seeing a human up close, again, startled me. I bolted upwards and started looking for a way out.

"No wait. Stop!" Scarlet trying to catch me in an enclosed space.

Jumping over structures and knocking small objects and shatter on in pack when hitting the ground.

"Shh. Calm down. You're ok. I'm not going to hurt you."

Calming down by her sweet voice. I stopped running, but I did not let her get near me.

I stayed in a corner, keeping my distance, she tried to bribe me with a thing called "Treats". They smelled good but I was not going to let it get the best of me. Again.

Going on for over two hours, I was getting tired and so was she. Feeling my body plop on the ground Scarlet came rushing and I let out a small growl. She stopped in her tracks.

"Oh come on. Why can't you trust me?" Scarlet pouted

As I am taking slow breaths, something smells nice. It smells like the smoky smell of bacon mixed with cooked chicken, though I would not mind if it was raw. Taking another deep breath, I bounce up with energy while Scarlet was a bit startled she backed away. Scarlet started to walk in another direction and the smell was below me, looking down I see a bowl of what I was smelling.

Scarlet was peeking by the corner of the wall, "Well go on. It's yours to eat. I'm going to turn myself in for the night. I'll leave my door open in case you want to sleep in there. Or not. Good night." Disappearing from the corner, though seeing her walk away made me feel lonely.

Haven eaten the delicious food, even though it was mush, it still tasted pretty good. Belly all full, I walk around the area, still being cautious since I don't know this territory. "Ew. What is the smell?" Sniffing around I noticed that smell was coming from my fur. "When was the last time I cleaned myself?"

After looking and enduring my awful smell I finally my way out. A big opening. Just wide open. Doing my little happy dance, which consist of me bouncing on my paws and doing a turn at the end, I sprinted towards the exit.

SLAM!

"OW. What kind of JOKE is this!"

I stumbled to get up and hear Scarlet stomping coming towards me, "Oh my gosh are you ok?" Scarlet tried to put a hand on me.

Letting out another small growl to wan her not to touch me she backs away again. I tried to get up and take a few steps forward only to fall back down. Letting out whimpers because my left paw was in pain. Scarlet tried to place her hand on me, but I tried to stand up and only end up sliding a few inches away.

"Come here. You're hurt. I want to help you" Scarlet extending her hand out.

Still bearing my fangs, I calm down accepting her help. I'm out of options here. She placed her hand on my tail. Scarlet face had brighten up.

"Thank you. Now how about I give you a warm bath." Scarlet said while pinching her nose.

I started wagging my tail. The sound of her voice and the word "bath" together had never sounded so pleasant.

Freshly bathed, I felt refreshed and relaxed. Scarlet on the other hand is fighting her sleep. I nudge her to wake up because she was wet, and humans are known to get sick easily.

"I know, I'll," Scarlet yawns, "I'm getting up." Scarlet grabbing whatever she could to pull herself up.

"Oh which reminds me! Let me show you to my room. I think the progress we made, you'll be sleeping with me!" Noticing that her sleepiness had left and was somehow full of energy. Scarlet claps her hands together and bounces out from where we were at.

I titled my head in confusion, "What is a room?"

Scarlet pats her hands against her thighs while saying, "Come". I followed behind not to closely but enough to stay in her reach. The only thing I know from here are the doors, as she opened one, I saw what resembles a bed but was lifted off the gound and only 4 small sticks holding it in place.

"Just for one night, you can sleep with me on my bed." Scarlet motions forward and jumps on her bed.

I look at her and she is waiting for me to do the same.

I simply walked towards a corner that felt really soft, marked my territory by walking in a circle, and finally laying down getting comfortable.

"Ok then. I'll see you in the morning. Good night." Scarlet clapped her hands and the lights went out, she blew me a kiss and went to bed.

I laid there going over my thoughts of what happened today. From humans fighting me, to sleeping in Scarlet's room.

"Tomorrow will be a new day. Hopefully a better one." I lay my head and close my eyes.
