Leo's P.O.V

"We can do a lot, and were just getting started..." My mate's voice filled the air, along with someone elses. She was geared up in her protectors uniform, and she looked deadly.

"What was that?" Brad asked, worriedly, as we all looked for the source of the second voice.

We were completely shocked when Jazy's bitter, cold, laughter filled the air.

'What happened to her?' I thought to myself. 'She used to be warm, and sweet... Now she's bitter, cold, and mean.'

Jazy's laughter stopped immediately, and she glared at me. Not like any human glare, I mean, beat red eyes full of anger, resentment, and bitterness.

"You happened!" She hissed, pointing her long finger in my direction.

"W-What I d-do?" I stuttered, knowing I was showing fear.

Instead of getting an explanation, I got a 'you've got to be kidding me' look from her. She sighed, and shook her head, while pinching the end of her nose.

"Wow. I'd thought I'd never see the day. The day Leo Knight doesn't own up to his own actions. You used to be kind, and warm. Then you go and reject me as your mate, and then don't own up to it. My wolf and I are very close to asigning you a new mate, and making it so you have to wait half your life to find her. I can't believe Kaden got stuck with you." She spat out, growling at the disappointment, and betrayal. But she wasn't done. "You promised me. You promised me that you wouldn't leave me! You promised that you would always be by my side, through thick and thin! You were there when I found my parents for God's sake! You were the one who held me as I cried, you were there to wake me up when I had nightmares..." She whispered, silent tears falling down her cheeks.

I know I speak for everyone when I say I was completely and utterly shocked.

"Jazlynn, you have to hear me out. I didn't mean what I said, and once I realized it, you wouldn't let me comfort you or take it back. Kaden's pissed at me, because I said that, and he won't talk to me anymore. He refuses to until I'm mated with you, and he, Tanaya. You have no idea how crazy I've been trying to find you, to make it up to you, to keep my promise..." My voice cracked, and tears were forming in my eyes, but I quickly blinked them away.

Jazlynn stared at me in shock, then her fire eyes returned, glaring at me.

"W-What I-"

"Shut up!" She hissed, looking around wildly, trying to hear something.

After a few seconds, her face went pale, and her eyes widened in shock.

"Shit..." She muttered, as she started walking to the front door.

"What?" Damon, Kelsey, and Lj, asked in unison, staring at her retreating form.

"There's an ambush in the woods, that the alpha's gonna walk into, and I don't think Leo want to be alpha this soon." She replied, not looking at us. The protectors started to get ready, but she held up her hand and they stopped.
