Flashback

After what seemed like hours, she turned her head toward us, but her eyes weren't the soft honey brown color we were used to. They were electric blue with black specks.
"Is that... No, it's not possible. She's too young." My brothers voice echoed in our ears.
"But I think it is. We always knew she was special." My mother replied.
"Hello, family. What brings you to my room in a frantic mood?" A soft voice filled the room as we looked at Jazlynn with wide eyes.
"That wasn't her voice... That was someone or something else's voice."

"You're right. It is not Jazlynn's voice. However, she is still a part of me, just as I am a part of her. She is resting. She is in grief. Let her be or you'll have me to deal with and I won't hold back because you're her family. I will protect her from everybody that tries to harm her. Family, friend, mate, it doesn't matter. So, are you going to leave her or am I going to have to make you?" The voice growled, watching the family closely to make sure they don't approach her. The mother stepped closer holding her hands up in a "I mean no harm" signal. Jazlynn stood up and growled quietly as a warning.
"Stay away from us." She demanded.
"Listen, I don't know who you are, or what you are, but she's my baby and she needs her family. Let me see her please." She begged, waving at everyone to stay behind her.
