Ez contemplated all the events that had taken place, his mind far from functional at this point. He had already dealt with insanity and depression before making his mind unstable, but then he only had his rage to worry about. Now he has a broken mind to go along with it. His thoughts rushed through his brain as he kept walking to his house, a smile kept creeping onto his face as well.
"Embrace it. Embrace it."
Those words kept haunting his thoughts, with no explanation for where they came from. He didn't know what to make of any of this, nothing made sense to him anymore, the word even seemed to warp around him.
"Maybe..." Ez stopped walking, "I just need to... no no no. I don't know what to do... By Divinity. What is becoming of me? WHAT IS BECOMING OF ME? I can't stop smiling hehe... I can't stop... THINKING. The voices... the... voices. They won't stop. A female one... I hear more than others. Who? Are you? Ugh... I don't know what to do... I just don't..." Ez falls down to his knees with tears, a smile still beared. "Hehehehe... I just... want to go back. I want things to be... okay again. But they aren't." Ez stood up again, "This is my life now. I need to accept it. No... I can't. But I have to?"
Ez began walking again, constantly laughing through the forest until he finally arrived at his house. He opened the door and stumbled over to his bed as he began to feel dizzy. He drifted off into sleep, despite what all happened he didn't have any dreams. It was just a cold and silent night for him. He was woken up in the morning by a knock at his door, this shocked him as no one knew where his house was. With caution he got up, and summoned his gun looking at it again, hiding it behind him. The door had no windows in it so he wasn't able to tell who was on the other side, and on the outside it blended in well with the tree, confusing him more as to who could be on the other side.
When he opened the door he saw the figure who had knocked. He was a tall man, with a noticeably unique appearance as he had no mouth, and skin that was pure white and long black hair. His eyes were pure red as well, and he wore a white suit. What was most odd about him was the fact that there was no sign of shadows covering his body, he was entirely one shade.
"Who... Hehehehehe... Who might you be? My... uh... hehe..."
"Hello, Ezential. I've been meaning to talk to you for a while now. Just wish I got here a bit sooner, but I've been... busy."
"Ooooh, aren't you mysterious? Hehe."
"I tend to be at times."
"All the more... fun!"
"I suppose it can be. Ugh. I wish I could've helped you a bit sooner, but I was caught up in business. My apologies. I should introduce myself, do you want to sit? I know you've been throu-"
"I should kill you." Ez pointed his gun to the man's forehead, he didn't flinch at all, "Or... Should I not? AHH!" Ez's hand began to shake and he threw his gun to the floor. In frustration, he punched the man in the face. Once again, he didn't flinch at all, but instead took the hit, rubbing his jaw a bit. "I- I'm sorry."
"Don't be. Pain doesn't mean much to me in this state. Like I was saying, you've been through a lot. Why don't we take a seat and discuss this?"
"Yes. We can." Ez let the man in, guiding him to his table, the two of them sat down.
"Take a deep breath my friend. I can use some magic to temporarily clear your mind."
"You... can?"
"Yes. You are stuck in a state of mental purgatory it seems. I can only keep you sane for a certain amount of time, then you'll be forced to think as you were before. Unless of course... You'd allow me to do something."
