"So..." Ez took out a bottle from the bar that he kept with him, taking a drink, "You really want to know what happened to me?"

"Of course." Ezrik chuckled a bit, "I'd love to know how you got that scar across your eye and why you're so fuckin' crazy now."

"Hehe... Well to put things short and simple... You remember Kane right? The man who I thought was a close friend? The bastard ended up convincing the entire council of light to demote me, taking my position."

"What??? Why would he-"

"I don't know. Other than a lust for power, fame... there's no other motivation I can think of, to stab your friend in the back like that... This was right after I was told you died too, and after..."

"After? After what?"

"I..." Ez let out a sigh, stopping for a moment, "Ezrik... your mother is dead."

"She's... dead...?" Ezrik froze in place, glaring at Ez intensely, "SHE'S DEAD???"

"I couldn't... I couldn't protect her." He couldn't look at his son, staring off to the side, "The mission we were sent on... we went up against a foe whose power we underestimated. Then... she died, her body was... was..." He kept stammering, trying his best to continue.
"You don't need to say anything else."

"I... I'm sorry Ezrik, for not being able to save her, to save you."

"Please, dad... you don't need to... just, come on alright?"

Ez nodded as the two continued to try and find Plague. The entire forest seemed like it was never ending, that the two were just going in circles over and over. Regardless, it was a beautiful place that was untouched by humanity. Flowing streams of water accompanied the sounds of the wildlife in the area, colorful flowers also dotted the ground that was full of lively grass. The entire place was incredibly peaceful, even looking back the skyscrapers could barely be seen as the trees covered the view. As the two finally got into an open field they were hopeful that they'd end up stumbling upon Plague's hideout, if not the man himself. They couldn't see anything, however Ezrik was stopped in place as he seemed to hit an invisible force.
"Gah! Shit!-" He stumbled a bit, trying to regain balance, "What the Hel was that???"

"Seems like you hit something-"

"Well obviously!"

"Let me look." Ez reached his hand out, trying to figure out what was there, "How strange... I can't tell what this is supposed to be."

"Tch- Let's just look around. Maybe this belongs to our little friend."

Ez nodded as the two began to look around more, trying their best to avoid bumping into anything else invisible. As they looked around, they heard the sound of animals yet there were none in sight... the two seemed rather confused. After a small bit more searching they were able to find what looked to be doors to a bunker right under a tree. On the doors there was a logo depicting a green droplet with the radiation logo within it.

"So, Ezrik, I believe we found the place!"

"Seems like it."

"Just let me do the talking when we get in alright? I don't think you've had any of these big boy talks with anyone-"

"By Elic... Dad, I'm several centuries old! I think I can handle a little bit of a chat!"

"Just let me talk regardless! Alright?"

"Ugh... fine." Ezrik let out a huff as he looked away.

"How do we get in though..." Ez tried to look around, seeing if there was a button or lever or anything. He eventually got tired and knocked onto the door loudly.
