Nick POV:
I woke up to the sun in my eyes, I noticed that I was still dressed in yesterday's clothes. Then I remembered that someone was in my room, but I was so confused and had such a huge headache that I just didn't have the capability to react.

Chris simply stated, "Why don't we ignore that for now, I'm sure you have school...."

I checked the calendar on my phone, "No, it's Saturday. Why don't we see if someone lives in that house..."

The sinister voice was whispering in my ear, "Why do that when you know where Evan lives... You could end him for what he's done...."

I shook my head, the voice dissipated. Leaving only a headache where it was. I got up and made my way to the living room. As usual, my dad was at the hospital working as a doctor. My adopted mom was working as the warden of the local city prison. I was alone.... yet again. At least Evan doesn't know where I live, the only reason I know where he lives is because he gloats that he lives on his family's estate in the city. He only had that because his great grandparents established the local gem mine and silver mine. Needless to say his parents almost own most of the city. Luckily my parents work in some of the few places that are still state owned. If they didn't, they wouldn't be treated with as much kindness as they are now. It's hard enough for them to live on the outskirts of the city. I still don't understand why they do that. I looked outside and at first I saw a woman, when I blinked she disappeared.

I side out loud, "Weird.... I wonder who that was...."

Chris simply stated, "Who knows...."

The sinister voice seemed to laugh at his statement. that gave me a throbbing headache. Chris seemed to disappear along with the sinister voice. I sighed, now I'm alone inside my own head. That may sound nice, but I hate being left to my own devices. I walked to the door, as I reached for it I suddenly saw blood ooze out from underneath the door. I shook my head and it was normal.

I growled, "What the hell is wrong with me? What's going on?"

I opened the door. I breathed in deeply the sweet smell was almost intoxicating, this made up for being isolated from everyone else, the clean and free air was much better the the smell of oppression and despair of the city. I saw that there was a few rain clouds in the sky, this caused me to smile. I quickly made my way to the forest edge and looked behind me, to make sure that there wasn't anything that could follow me. When I was satisfied that no creature was in sight, I darted inside the deep dark part of the forest. Soon I found what I was looking for: a cave that I had found during a walk through the woods. It was strange because there was a few wooden planks on the opening, almost as if someone once resided inside, it had furniture and everything. I found out that whoever lived here were long gone, leaving in such a hurry that it looked like they just jumped from the bed and left without a second thought. It may sound weird, but I always feel at home here. However, there was one place that I didn't go through completely, the room that was similar to a master bedroom. Even though no one lives here anymore, I always felt that it would be rude to intrude in there.

I laid down on the couch, speaking to myself, "You know, maybe I should go through the master bedroom? It might help me to understand what they were like, maybe even why they left."

Chris came out of doing whatever he was doing, "I wouldn't do that, you might find something that you don't want to find...."

I asked, suspiciously, "Like what?"

Then the sinister voice spoke, "Like the truth. Like the reason that you're-"

Chris cut him off, "Don't you dare! He doesn't need to know...."

My head suddenly felt like it was about to explode, I cried out in agony.

The sinister voice bellowed, "HE DESERVES TO KNOW! WHY DO YOU TRY TO STOP HIM?"

Chris stated, "BECAUSE I'M HIS BROTHER, I HAVE TO PROTECT HIM! WHY DON'T YOU GET THAT?"

Their voices were starting to fade into my subconscious, leaving me with a headache. But there was one thing that started to work inside my mind. It was a single thought: What is in the master bedroom? Then I passed out...

Luna POV:
I was looking for Nick, I woke up and he wasn't in his room. While looking through his house, I thought back to last night. He must have felt something I mean he was pretty out of it. However, he relaxed at my touch. Maybe, just maybe, he wants to be loved by someone his own age. And he must want it to be true love, not lust. But where could he be? I hope he's okay, wherever he is....

Nick POV:
When I came to, I saw that it was around noon. But I wasn't hungry, I looked around a little more. I went through every nook and cranny for about the hundredth time since I met Luna. My eyes kept darting over to the only room that I haven't fully investigated yet. Something inside of me was nagging at me to look inside that room. In the end, I decided that I was overthinking it right now. So I walked home, enjoying the calmness of the trees around me. I was halfway out when the rain started.

I spoke out to no one, "This the best weather to take a walk in. Not storming just a gentle mist, isn't this just lovely, Chris? Chris...?"

Chris responded sleepily, "Yeah, sorry just woke up. Wait, did you hear that?"

I stopped and listened, at first there was nothing. Then I heard it: laughter. Not just any laughter, Evan's laugh. I quickly climbed up the nearest tree and waited. When nothing happened, I walked from branch to branch. My balance was always a strong point for me. Soon I found them, the popular kids, were looking at a house. Not just any house, my house.

I heard Evan's friend, Nate, ask, "Hey Evan, are you sure that is Nick's house?"

My heart stopped, how did he figure that out!?

Evan chuckled, "My parents have a map of this mountain, They wanted to buy a house for us. But there are only two houses on this mountain and they don't want to build one. The deed of this house is under the Farwell name."

Mary question, "Wait, aren't they the same people that adopted our favorite freak?"

Evan nodded, "Yep. What's confusing me is that the other house's deed is under some family under the name Sperry, you guys know anyone with that name?"

Nate looked as confused as possible, "No, maybe it's some new family?"

It clicked in my head: Luna never said her last name, some girl in my class found me on this mountain on her way home, the only new person I know is Luna. Luna moved onto this mountain.

I heard Evan, "Hmm, Maybe we should stay here to see if Nick really lives here. If so, we can start messing with him..."

Suddenly my dad pulled into the driveway. He got out and opened the front door. His next words filled me with dread.

He confirmed their suspicions, "Nick? You in here?"

I heard Evan, "Got you. Let's make sure he can't get any sleep tonight. When he finds out that we know where he lives, we can use even more threats."

What my dad said next made them scatter, "Nick! You out in the woods again?"

They quickly ran down the mountain. When I was sure that they were out of earshot, I dropped down and ran home. When I got there I was trying to catch my breath.

When he saw me, he asked, "You okay?"

I nodded my head, not wanting to worry him, I hugged him, it's been too long since he's been home this early. But I didn't care right now, I just wanted someone to talk to. Maybe, just maybe, I could get straight answers from him....
