Nick POV:
When I made it to school, I saw a group of people chatting with each other. I realized that they were the 'popular' kids, in other words, the kind of kids that I try to avoid at any and all costs. I tried to walk past them by pulling up my hood of my hoodie. Then I saw Evan, the school jock and the reason school is my personal hell, walking towards me.

I decided not to have a target painted on my back, it was the first day after all, so I attempted to walked away. I don't know why I even bothered.

He spun me around and spat in my face, "You think you can walk these halls workout paying the price? You're a freak, someone that should never have been born."

He curled up his hands into fists, getting ready to punch me in the face. A hand grabbed him by the shoulder and a stern voice said, "Threatening students or teachers is strictly prohibited at this school, understand?"

Evan let go of me and looked at Mr. Dennis, the principal of the school, he answered like he was joking with me, "Yes sir, we were just joking anyways."

Mr Dennis nodded, I decided to get away as fast as I could. As I was walking off I bumped into a girl, who fell with a small yelp of surprise, knocking some of her things on the ground.

I hurried and started to pick up some of it, quickly speaking, "I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention to where I was walking."

The girl simply said, "It's okay, you didn't mean to. My name is Luna, what's yours?" Her voice sounded like silk.

I said, while handing her stuff back, without looking because I was afraid that she would hit me, "I'm Nick, I'm sorry but I have to get to class."

I hurried to class without a glance towards her but I couldn't help but think about Luna. I wonder why her presence felt familiar?

Chris teased, "Ohhhh, looks like someone has developed a crush, when do you think you'll see Luna again?"

I quickly and quietly answered him, already feeling myself starting to blush, "I don't know, it's not like she'll want to talk to me, it was an accident that we even met."

Chris just chuckled when I blushed, "Sure it was, like fate didn't just decide to throw you a bone..."

As I got in the classroom the late bell rang the teacher, waiting for me to get in my seat, spoke with a clear happiness, "I'm ecstatic to tell you that we have a new student today, and her name is Luna."

I nearly choked when I heard her name. I was glad yes, but I was also scared that she'd join the others in making fun of me. After all she has a reason for it, I did bump into her.

Some of the girls whispered, "What does she look like?" they clearly were worried about their status as most pretty girl in school.

A guy asked, "Maybe she's bangable?" the others laughed as if they were thinking the exact same thing.

When she entered everyone, including me, was in complete, total and utter surprise. She was beautiful I began to wonder how I had missed that major detail when we first met.

Chris spoke, "Maybe because you didn't look at her. But still, you have a point on the bully thing..."

The teacher looked at Luna, telling, "You can sit where ever you want, okay?" Luna nodded.

Luna looked around the room, there were multiple empty seats. Much to my (and everyone else's) surprise, she walked straight to me and looked at the chair to my left, "Is this seat taken?" I shook my head, I was in complete shock.

Chris just started to calm me down, "Don't panic just quite yet. Maybe she wants to be friends. Hold on I got to check on something..."

She giggled before sitting in the chair. I could feel hateful stares drilling themselves in my head from the other guys. When I looked around I sat that it was mainly Evan.
