The last couple years of your life haven't been so great. That's how it is when you are living on the run. Everyday was like a nightmare, no sleep, no food nor water just running and running from the fire nation. All you could do was run and hope for the best. You had wanted posters as much as the Avatar.

For many generations your family has always been willing to serve the Fire Lord. Heck, your family was there since the first Fire Lord. After Avatar Roku died, the Fire nation started falling apart. The military was out of control, the violence got worse and worse throughout the years, every Fire Lord next getting hungrier for power.

Flashback to when it all started~ (First POV)
It was the middle of night, everyone is asleep expect for my mother and I. We started to pack our stuff (as quickly as possible) for the adventure that would change our lives as we know it. We were going to leave this controlling life and travel to all the four nations together. Both of us never wanted to serve for the Fire Lords but because of my father we had no choice but to be forced to serve them and put a smile on our faces. My mother and I were leaving for good before anyone would know. We both finished packing, headed towards the door and gave each other a firm nod to confirm we were really leaving.

When we walked outside there was fire surrounding everything, not one spot unharmed. My eyes had been enlighten with fear as my village was being burned down. I started to run as fast as I could when suddenly I heard someone scream right behind me, my mother. She was being held by 2 Fire nation soldiers. She screamed at me "Run (Y/n), run! Don't let them take you away, you need to find the avatar and stop this mess before the Sozin's comet passes. Hurry and I lov-", she was cut off by her own screams as the fire nation solders burned her alive.

The Fire nation soldiers locked the door of your house and burn it down with your family sleeping inside. They looked to you with sadistic smiles and dull eyes. One of them laughed and said "Don't ever forget this moment for this when you betrayed your family and your nation, this is the moment you die." He stepped closer to you, and walked slowly closer to you but you weren't about to let him have the pleasure of killing you. Oh no no no no, you kicked him where it hurts then jabbed him with your elbow in the face and ran away. He called after the other solider to chase you but it was too late you had disappeared in the flames.

Flashback over~

After that I had to stay off the grid though it had only lasted for a couple months. In that time, I was able to travel around and stay with all the refuges. Until the Fire Nation started raiding all the refuge camps. I've been on the run ever since. Just thinking about it made me shiver with fear. Bouncing from place to place is very exhausting, I need to be able to stay somewhere so quite a while. Ba Sing Se! It is the safest place from the Fire Nation as along with thousands of refugees. "I have to leave now!" Packing my things in a rush I set a course for Ba Sing Se.

Time skip, a week later-

It's been a while, so much has happened in a week. I have met so many people, hearing their stories and how they became refugees. It really shows how much the Fire Nation has taken but never returned. I sigh looking out of window on the monorail, "I miss my family, I miss home." My eyes follow the scenery, I was never able to really enjoy the sights. The sun is setting, painting the sky with beautiful colors of pink, orange and yellow. Minutes pass and the monorail stops and the night is now colored with tiny shinning stars in the now dark sky.

Getting off the monorail, I follow the crowds of refugees making it into the city. I'm too focused in my own thoughts when someone taps my shoulder. I look to them and wave goodbye as we part ways in the city, looking around my surroundings I realized, 'Oh, I finally made it to city of Ba Sing Se. I only have most likely a couple months until I have to relocate again' I thought. I was exploring the market, all though it was dark many house lights were still on, guiding my way through.

My legs started to feel heavy and heavier as I was still wandering the market. Forcing my legs to move, I tried to find a spot to at least lean against and take a quick nap when I notice an alleyway and walked quickly towards it. Taking my backpack but keeping tightly secured in my arms as I closed my eyes. The last thing I said before sleep fully consumed me was, 'Hopefully no one will find me here.'

Zuko's POV
It had gotten dark and after an exhausting and frustrating day, it's finally time to head back to the tea shop. I look at the jar full of tea leaves that is in my hands. The more I look at it the more mad I am because remembering today's earlier events. "Sure why don't you get me some more tea leaves, only found in Jade's tea shop supplies." I said mimicking my uncle. "Tsk how could he forget to mention where it was?! I had to travel everywhere trying to fine this 'Jade's tea shop' only yet to come know it was across Ba Sing Se... Ughh." I pull and tug at my hair how I'll tell him off when I get home.

I finally make it to the tea shop. I open the door and lazily walk upstairs. 'Strange. Uncle is usually there to always to greet me, oh well who cares. He's probably off somewhere making tea.' I walk to my room. I'm about to completely submit myself to sleep, just as I'm about to jump on my futon that's when I open my eyes, "The hell is that?" I questioned. I immediately turn back to turn on the light to see a girl passed on in my bed?!! I sighed, taking my fingers and putting it on the bridge of my nose before I yelled, "UNCLE!!!!".
