You are left sitting speechless as Zach finishes telling you of the fate that befell his teammates.
Zach: That isn’t even what’s been bothering me the most... It’s that I didn’t stay to see them dig out my best friend’s body. I just couldn't bear the thought of seeing him in the same state as Rachel and Brian. The only thing I have left to remember them by is this.
As he says this, Zach pulls out a beautiful silver necklace that looks rather expensive. Zach then opens the necklace, revealing it to be a locket. Inside the locket is a photograph of Zack and three people who you assume were Zach’s teammates.

You: Dear God! I’m sorry you had to experience something so terrible.
Zach: In all honesty, I should actually be thanking you.
You: What do you mean, Zach?
Zach: I mean I need to thank you for including me in your plan, however limited my role was. If it wasn't for you including me, I would have been hanging out with my team when the attack started.
You: I don’t understand. Why would you thank me for preventing you from being with your team when the attack started? Don’t you regret not being with them more?
Zach: At first, I did regret not being with them more. But, I quickly realized how lucky I actually was. You remember how I said my team was in our dorm room practicing their music? Well if what Rachel told me before she passed is any indication, they had been lost in the loud music they were playing at the time of the attack. If you hadn’t needed my help with your plan, I would’ve met the same fate as my team. So, thank you Y/N.
You: Oh, I see…

After your conversation with Zach had finished, the two of you decided to head down to the living room to see what the others were up to. Once there, you both began to chat with the others. Each person recounted the adventures they had following the Fall. Some tales, in particular, caused the entire group to erupt in laughter. This was such a nice change from all the stress of the past few days.
All of a sudden Zach piped up with a question.
Zach: Hey Y/N, I’ve been meaning to ask you something recently.
You: Sure thing, Zach. Ask away.
Everyone stops their separate conversations and goes silent as they wait to hear Zach’s question.
Zach: So I’ve been wondering about this for a little while now. What’s the deal with the rings you and Ruby are wearing? They look really expensive. I was gonna ask about it earlier, but it just didn’t feel like the right time.
