For anyone who found my other logging devices, you have probably searched well and killed countless people to get your hands on them.
I wrote that because it is probably the truth. We have been at war ever since I released Akec she sent out a radio transmitting beacon telling the TEK's that we were ready for war. The TEK's are not people like us. They are mechanised animals and other creatures roaming a different planet with artificial intelligence, killing everything that comes into their path. We have been at war for about two weeks now and I have had to rebuild my logging device twice already. Scavengers often visit destroyed parts of the wall I built to gather materials for themselves. We have captured a few TEK's and are currently trying to hack into their database. It's a chaos out here. All we found was something about a strange TEK life form here on the island named DHABW1-2(5ZB or nicknamed "The overboss". He appears to be in this volcano on the other side of the island and it's said that defeating him will grant all of us salvation.
"Builder!" Kira screamed rushing in here. "New TEK ship flying in! We need you on the battleground! Now!"
"Coming." I replied
I easily got up, took my TECH Rifle from my cabinet and turned my suit on.
"Let's go." I said as I closed my helmet.
Kira and I went to the CHQ, there she told me where the ship landed and where I need to be to fight them.
"No." I said. "I'm not doing that."
"What did you just say?" Kira said angry.
"Your plan is full of gaps."
"Okay, have fun dying then. You're not going to listen, have fun."
I went to the Eastern-Wall, the location where the ship landed and I flew over the wall. I saw people fighting against the TEK's and a couple of them turned to me. I flew back up into the air and I started shooting.
I kept shooting for hours is what people say. I don't know why I lost my mind like that. Maybe it has something to do with the plans to fight against the Overboss.
"Akec." I said. Akec appeared and told me to go to the lab immediately and then disappeared again.
I went to Collin's lab and everyone was there, including Sayla's teen? Anyways, everyone was very serious about something.
"We have discovered something." Collin said. "My researchers found a bug in the extensions for your helmet. It will make you lose your mind and slowly turn you into a TEK if you keep them turned on too long."
"How far gone am I?" I asked.
"I'm not sure. Akec told us it can take hours or it may take years."
"Affirmative." Akec said as she appeared. "It depends on state of mind and strength of the soul."
As we discussed the matter further we got a call from Max, saying we needed to head back to the field. The Overboss has shown himself. Finally. This could mean the end of our war.
We headed back and there it was. It looked like a huge specimen implant. Surrounded by TEK drones and defenders.
Max was already there and he was pushing buttons to what he said "increase our chance of survival by making the battlefield more preferable for us." As he pushed his buttons we saw the battlefield change. Turrets sprouted out of the ground and walls and shields were deployed here and there.
"All done." Max said. "This should increase our chances by about 21%."
"All this for just 21%?" I asked. "That's... that's so... I don't know but not good."
As we went to the field our scouting drones tried to scan the Overboss for his abilities. As soon as the Overboss saw it they fired a missile at our drones and they were obliterated in an instant. Only a little bit of blue smoke remained. "What the hell..?" Kira said to herself.
The Overboss noticed her sound and looked at us. We saw the red guidance laser of the missiles head straight to her.
Everything went black.
When I opened my eyes everyone was deep in battle. Me and Kira had been transported back to the infirmary. Autumn and Amelia were taking care of the injured. I stood up but Autumn yelled at me "No you shouldn't get up yet!"
"I'm fine." I said. "They need me in battle."
When I got back I saw everyone was driving the Overboss back. The one thing we weren't able to do until now and it was happening right before me. I started yelling and ran towards the Overboss while shooting my TEK rifle.
"No Builder! Don't! That's suicide!" Max screamed at me. But I ran anyways. Somehow I was able to dodge all incoming attacks except for one defender on my back, which ripped my acceleration module from my pants apart.
I got close enough to the Overboss to be using my swords. Some plates on my gauntlets turned into blue glowing, super thin blades and I started slashing the Overboss until it was down on the ground. When it was down I stepped in front of his visor and I said: "Tell your people that if they ever think of messing with this city or it's people again, I will hunt every one of them down." And I bashed his camera in, took his core and left.
I activated my intercom and called Collin.
"Collin. I have something for you to analyse."
"Bring it in." Said Collin. "Oh and take Max with you."
Max and I went to the lab and Collin was standing next to the analyser that Max and Collin made. We put the core in the analyser and for the first time out of the countless cores we analysed, there appeared a button on the screen.
"Mhh.. ascend..?" I asked myself questioningly. Without thinking I pushed the button.
I felt different.. my feet were tickling.. I looked down and my feet were.. they were disintegrating?! I looked around and so was everyone else!
Am I ever going to see them again? What's going to happen to me? Am I even going somewhere? Is this the end? So many questions arose in my head, unable to be answered. As my neck started disintegrating I got these visions.. visions of other worlds, places beyond imagination. Places of scorched plains and corrupted deserts. I got it.. these were my final moments. I was done on this place.. time to make the next one better...
