I woke up in a tent, completely black except for the ground under me, as a campfire was burning next to me and an unconscious TT and raptor.
"Double-T, wake up!" I said in an almost whispering voice. "We gotta get out of here!"
"...You. Not. Out. Get. Will..." I heard in a low and threatening voice from somewhere around me. I was startled for a second, until I noticed that it was the same kind of language as the guys that brought us to a wall used.
"Who are you?!" I screamed into the darkness.
"Me. Is. Leader. Shinji. Clan." I got as reply from the same voice. "Friend. Not. Soon. Up. Wake."
"Wha.. where are we..?" TT said in a kind of sleepy voice.
"What happened to your 'friend will not wake up soon'?" I said in a kind of mocking voice.
A second voice appeared, talking to the first one in again the language we didn't understand. This voice was a bit low bit a whole lot friendlier, and he was able to talk normal. "Hello." He started. "I am Brux, what are your names?"
"I am Builder, the leader of a small village in a valley from I don't know where." I started. "And this here is my overrated tamer of the tribe called Double-T. So, now tell me, 'Brux', where are we and how do we get back to our valley?"
A silence of about a minute followed.
"You will not get back easily." Brux said. "The leader wants you to work for us as we saw your village having enough defences as it is and no wild dino attacks it in the slightest. How do you do that?"
Another short silence followed. Me and TT looked at each other.
"Was that all there is to it?" TT asked. "You could've just knocked on our gate and we'd have given you a fair price for a blueprint of improved defences. That's no big deal, that's why we have our good friend and leader, to make such things."
Another silence. We heard the two voices whispering things to each other, still in the dark.
"Really?" Brux replied.
"Really." I said.
And yet again another silence.
"Okay." Brux finally said. "We'll release you in trade for the blueprint of better walls."
"No no no buddy." I started. "There is a higher price now. You have to release us, the raptor, and become our allies."
Again a silence. They were becoming a bit of a pain by now...
"Agreed." The leader said.
We heard the leader and Brux talk to each other, but talking soon became shouting and after quite a while of shouting, the raptor opened it's eyes... slowly getting up with a threatening growl.
"Whoa whoa whoa, calm down Rapy." TT said to the raptor.
I stared at TT... "It's got a name now..?"
"Yeah I just came up with it, I think it.."
"Yeah yeah you think it's fine... great... I guess 'Rapy' is going with us then." I said with a bit of an annoyed voice.
Suddenly other campfires and torches went on and we saw the leader and Brux standing next to each other. Brux was a tall black and strong looking male and the leader was a skinny, short and milk bottle like white old man.
"Please follow me." Brux said.
"Him follow you please." The old man said.
We went outside where we expected a grey sky, little stone houses and stone as ground. On the contrary, we saw green grass, clear blue skies and tents made from leather. And not to forget people chasing a sabertooth tiger around the wreckage of a tent. The dual layered walls we came trough were also painted with green and blue, to recreate the forest and it's sky around the village. We saw a little farm, but it was no good in comparison to what we had.
"How do you get plants to grow?" I asked Brux.
We make fertiliser of spoiled meat, keratin and some other stuff.
"What happened here?" TT asked. "It looks like some T-rex stomped all your houses and now you have to live in tents." Is what he said while coming out of the big tent we were hold in.
Both Brux and the old guy looked angrily at him. "Oof, sensitive spot I guess then." TT replied with a bit of a laugh in his voice.
"I will give you the blueprints." Is what I told Brux.
"BlueprintS?" He replied.
"Yeah, blueprintS, like multiple ones."
"I know that much, but the deal was only for better defences right?"
"I know as much as that better defences are more than one blueprint large, and this place looks like it can use all help it can get, so I'll give you blueprints for strong stone houses with comfy wood on the inside too."
"I can't accept such generosity Builder."
"Juust accept it already big guuy~" TT came walking by, hanging on Brux' shoulder. "Or you can give me a saddle for the Rapy raptor cuz I can't walk straight anymore."
We looked behind TT and saw some spoiled fruits on the ground from the tree next to the chiefs tent. All with a bite out of them.
We looked at TT again and I said: "Yeah, let's take that saddle in return, because we won't get home otherwise."
As we started leaving the village trough the gates, I saw what knocked us out, it was a poisonous trap, narcotic tripwires. We avoided the lines and did not get knocked out. We headed back towards the red forest using the map we got from Brux.
Now we're standing in front of the red forest, it seems as scary as it was before...
