Chapter Four :)
I watched as Rayla tried to cut the ribbon off her wrist from a tree. Ezran and Callom were sleeping, and snoring very loudly I might add.
"Unbind yourself," Rayla said, holding her hand above the ribbon like she was casting a spell. "Unbind thy self? Unbindo!"
She sighed. Bait growled at her.
"Don't judge me," Rayla said to Bait. "So what I'm talking to my ribbon thing. How is that any worse than talking to a...whatever you are?"
"Glow toad," I said from my tree. "And I'm judging you too. Though probably not as much as Bait."
Rayla sighed and rested her hand on her fist.
A bell rang at the castle. Rayla and I looked up to it.

Callum was drawing his primal stone in his sketch book. I was sitting in a branch above him, though I don't think that knew.
"Callum," I said. "Callum. Callum! That is your name right?"
"Yeah," Callum said. "I guess I was just distracted trying to draw this primal ball."
"Primal stone," I corrected.
"Right, it holds the puressence of a primal spirit inside," Callum said.
I chuckled. "Primal source?"
"Yeah," Callum said.
"You do know what the six primal sources are, right?" I asked.
"If I say yes will you have me name them?" I asked.
I hung upside down from the branch I was in. I held my hand out for Callum's sketch book.
He handed it to me along with the pencil.
"All magic in the word comes from the six primal sources," I said, drawing the primal sources onto the blank sheet of paper. "There the original and purest forms of magical energy. The sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the ocean, and..."
I tapped the pencil on the primal stone.
"The sky," Callum said.
"Yes," I said. "To cast a spell, a mage needs primal energy. So that wind breath spell you did, you'd normally need a storm or a strong breeze. But with that stone you have all the power of the sky. Any time."
"Wow," Callum said.
"Primal stones are incredibly rare," I continued. "They've been sought after by the most powerful arch mages in history. And now, you have one."
I put the pencil in the page I wrote on to keep the page and shut the book. I handed it back to Callum.
Callum opened the book and looked at the symbols on the page.
"Wait," he said. "I've seen these before. At the Banther Lodge, there was this little cube thing and it had these exact symbols on it."
"Uh...neat," I said.
"What if its magic?" Callum asked. "We have to go get it."
"Wait, what?" Rayla asked as she walked over to us. "We have real problems to worry about. Ending a war, taking the dragon egg to Zadia. Remember?"
"Zadia is to the east," Callum said. "So is the lodge. Its on the way."
"Oh great," Rayla said. "I'm sure it will be crawling with humans. Humans who are looking for you and want to kill me and Willow. Yay!"
