After helping Unikitty with her castle decorations, Rex was immediately called to Watevra's palace for work.

He was beyond thrilled to finally be included in some action. He was filled with energy, and the Queen's invention was a welcome surprise.

Finally, he had something to do. After long, boring weeks of nothing coming up.

As soon as he walked through the palace's freshly cleaned entrance hall, he looked towards the direction of Watevra's throne room. There, he would receive information on his job.

Pop music echoed throughout the palace, and the smell of the built-in bakery wafted through the air. Every day was a party in Syspocalypstar. Everyone who was visiting the palace was enjoying themselves.

"Mr. Dangervest."

The Defender quickly turned at the mention of his last name. Susan, the Queen's assistant, approached him with a welcoming smile.

"You must be here to see Queen Watevra." She continued.

Rex nodded, "Yeah, she called me in for a job. She mentioned that she would explain more once I got here."

"I hope this isn't an inconvenience, but she's preoccupied at the moment. She's still participating in royal activities. So, could you maybe wait for just a while longer?"

"Yeah, no worries. I'll just hang around here until she's ready for me."

"Thank you for Understanding, Mr. Dangervest! I'll come get you when she's ready."

Susan hopped away, leaving Rex to himself. He put his hands into his pants pockets, wondering what he could do to pass the time. He walked through the palace, observing every door.

With the structure being so much bigger, and more extravagant than the old one, there was an overwhelming amount of things to do.

Party rooms, a library, and a massive pool were only a few of the options provided to guests.

Rex touched the sparkling white wall as he walked into another hallway. Watevra decorated everything beautifully, with all the decorations being extremely vibrant in color.

Batman, now a King, seemed to rarely have a pick in the style of the palace. The Defender assumed that maybe he just had his own separate section somewhere. Maybe the other half of the palace.

Given that he had half of everything.

Eventually, Rex reached a staircase, which led to the second floor of the palace. He wasn't sure why, but his curiosity grew. He had never seen the second floor before.

He gripped the railing, and made his way up to the second floor. When he reached it, the first thing he noticed was two massive doors. Both beside each other.

One door was magenta, and splashed with purple and orange. The other was a solid deep black.

They were royal meeting rooms, and both labeled for Batman and Watevra respectively. They both had their own people to meet with.

Watevra, her girls. And Batman, his buddies.

The second floor entrance was divided into four more hallways. There were so many places to go. One could explore the place for hours.

He didn't want to get ahead of himself, so he decided he would head back downstairs. However, before he could, the door to Watevra's meeting room suddenly opened.

It gained his attention, and he swiftly turned back towards it. His eyes immediately widened in surprise.

Marie, the Princess of Stardust, stepped out of the room gracefully, and closed the large door behind her. Of course, it had to be her, of all people.
