The strong sound of the Undar winds echoed in Rex's mind. He swore he could smell the dusty planet vividly, and feel the heat of the harsh air.

No matter how hard he tried to overcome his hatred, he could never get over the agitation he felt from hearing those winds.

The feeling of being alone corrupted him once again. He was in his nightmare. All alone.

Rex was familiar with what a nightmare felt like, and he knew that he was dreaming. But he couldn't control his actions, or his body. He was stuck, once again.

He wished for it all to end, until finally, his silent wish came true. The scenery around him changed from Undar to Syspocalypstar. A massively destroyed version of Syspocalypstar.

Rex knew his dream self had done the destruction. After all, he was very much capable of it. He was the villain again, and his need to destroy had corrupted him. Just like it did back then.

He hurt everyone. He hurt his friends, and those he cared the most about. A deep sense of regret filled him, but his anger always seemed much stronger.

Rex heard an intense echoing of footsteps behind him, and he clenched his fist. The only thing his dream self could think to do, was destroy. Everything and everyone.

Break. Everything. Everyone.

In his anger, he turned to punch whoever dared to walk up to him, but he froze in place once he saw who it was.

He was suddenly aware of what he was doing, becoming lucid. He stepped back, finally managing to take control of his dream self.

The woman standing before him was the one he had been daydreaming about the day prior.

"Marie..."

Rex's voice echoed as he called her name.

The ruined world around him melted away into nothing, as he focused only on the image of the Princess in front of him. The surrounding area was nothing but the darkness of his mind.

He lowered his gaze slightly to meet her beautiful eyes, and watched as she stepped closer. Her dress and hair swayed in the wind Rex's mind created.

She smiled sweetly, which Rex found surprising. She should have been terrified. She saw him destroy everything.

"Marie, what...are you doing here?" He questioned.

"To see you, silly." The Princess giggled, "Why else would I be here? You look scared. Are you okay?"

"I, uh...I'm..."

"You're not bad, Rex. Why do you see yourself this way? You're so cute! Under all that toughness." She continued.

"...I'm dreaming." Rex told himself, "This isn't real."

Marie lifted her hand, and gently slid it over his cheek. The action surprised him, and she giggled again.

"Your stubble tickles!"

He blushed slightly, finding her incredibly adorable. Someone so sweet and kind had softened his heart.

He tilted his head, leaning into her touch. It felt so good, after so long with nothing. It was a feeling that he cherished.

Rex soon realized his actions, and perked up, stepping away from her. "No! I can't...I can't love you, Marie."

"Why not?"

The Defender observed her features once again. She was such a perfect woman. Too cool, for even Rex to consider for himself.

His confidence had slipped.

"Princesses don't fall in love with villains."

Marie grabbed his hands, pulling him close to her.
