The door of a small, but cozy apartment opened. The furniture was in various shades of brown and beige, and the walls were a comfy white.

Fairy lights and glowing green gems decorated the place, making it slightly more beautiful. After a few seconds, a figure walked in, and turned on the nearby lamp, before closing the door behind her.

It was Jade's apartment, and she was exhausted from the long day of cleaning out machines and serving customers.

She took off her apron, and placed it on the nearby coat rack. Then, she pulled off her hair tie, and let her long green hair fall to her waist.

She sighed deeply, "I'm so sick of that job, but nowhere else would take me. Where I'm from were assigned jobs at birth, and get paid well. These people are insane."

Jade headed to her bedroom, and opened the window. It was her favorite place in her apartment, for one reason only.

As soon as she stepped away from her glowing green curtains, she smiled at her walls.

To hide the boring color underneath, she completely covered them in images of the one, and only, Rex Dangervest.

Over the time she had lived there, she collected, and printed out hundreds of them. Anything she could find, she put up. Newspaper articles, magazine covers, and even pictures she took herself when he wasn't looking.

She touched one of his swimsuit advertisements on the nearby wall, and leaned against it. She grinned, as her hair pressed into her cheek.

"Rex, you don't know this yet...but I am your future wife."

She smelled the picture, adoring its scent. Her room was overpowered with the smell of Rex's exact cologne, which she obsessively bought several bottles of.

Jade finally separated, and observed everything. She spoke to the images, as if they were actually him.

"What's that, Rex? Why, of course I'll marry you! Ah, you're so sexy! How could I not?"

Her moment was interrupted when she heard a sudden knock at her front door. Agitation arose in her expression.

"Who could that be? I just got home."

She looked down at her outfit, and observed her reflection in a nearby full body mirror. She didn't want to be seen in her work attire.

She lifted her hand, and her fingertips glowed an ominous green. Jade moved it down her uniform, and watched it magically turn into a simple fitted deep green dress.

She swiped her hand over her face, touching up her makeup, then lifted her arm, watching an elegant vine design appear on it.

"That's much better."

A knock sounded again, and Jade sighed, rushing back to her front door. She opened it, and immediately noticed who was standing outside.

It was a woman, with a very similar style to Jade's. The only difference was that her color scheme was a vibrant red. Her hair was also wavy, and sparkled in glitter.

Beside her was a man with light hair, and a blank expression on his face. He was, by default, dressed to match her color.

"Ruby." Jade fully opened the door, "What are you doing here?"

"Did you just get home from work? I'm sorry if this is a bad time." Ruby apologized.

"No, I can always make time for you. Come in."

The red haired woman stepped into the apartment, and her male companion followed close behind her. As Jade closed the door, she greeted him.

"Hey, Travis."
