As we reached the entrance we exchanged a glance and opened the door.
The room was dark as we walked in. We slowly began to shuffle through the dark room, searching for a light. Then all of a sudden the lights turned on and a man appeared in front of us.
He looked to be in his twenties and he had a very rugged yet handsome look and vibe to him.
Then I felt a spark of recognition.
"Daehyun? I that you?" I asked as I slowly walked towards him. "Its me...Mallorie."
"Mallorie?! How did you get here? How long have you been in the city?! OhmyGod its been forever."
He stepped towards me and grabbed me in a hug as fauna stood there with a confused look on her face.
"Umm...am I missing something..?"
"Oh um...Fauna this is Daehyun. We were childhood friends." I said.
She rolled her eyes and sighed at me.
"Um. Okay. Thats great, but can we do what we came here to do?"
"Right. Sorry."
I turned to Daehyun and said "We're here to find out who killed my brother. Do you know anything?"
He lowerd his head and turned away from me immediately after I asked, and the room went silent.
I took a step towards him.
"Daehyun?"
"Yes. I know who killed your brother."
My heart started pounding.
"Really?! Thats great! Who was it?"
Daehyun turned back around to face me, with tears in his eyes.
"I can't."
"Yes you can! Just tell me. Please."
I grabbed his hand in mine as he looked into my eyes.
"It...it was..."
"Yeah...?"
"It was me. I killed your brother."
Blood started pounding in my ears as I felt myself shove away from Daehyun and run outside. I don't even remember leaving. I just remember running for blocks.
Nothing would stop me, and nothing was trying to.
My world was crushed and all I could do was run over the pieces.
I didn't stop, until I ran into someone.
I felt their arms wrap around me.
"No! Stop! Get off of me!!"
"Mallorie, its me!"
I looked up to see Jimin's face looking back at me and I collapsed into his arms balling.
