Within minutes of shooting Jungkook, we could hear sirens in the distance. A patrol officer must have heard the gunshots and were now coming in our direction.

I knew what was going to happen,... what needed to happen. Everyone did, because no one ran or freaked out, or even said anything in general.

I turned around to face Jimin.

"Mallorie..."

"Shhh." I said as I pressed a finger to his lips.

The tears were coming harder than ever now. "Jimin, I want you to do something for me. Make me a promise."

He grabbed my hands in his. "Anything."

"I need you to move on. Don't go back to the gang. You deserve a better life than this. Find a girl...get married...raise a family...a nice family...in a nice place. A safe place. The girl, make sure she's beautiful, and funny, and kind. Make sure she deserves you."

"No. Mallorie, I love you. I can't move on."

"Fine. Then if you truly love me...promise me you'll do this. Take all the money from my bag and make a great life for yourself. Okay?"

The sirens got closer.

Jimin looked into my eyes and grabbed my face in his hands. He brought his lips closer to mine.

"Jimin, no." I said as I pushed away. "It will only make things harder." Then I turned and walked out the door towards the approaching sirens.

That was the last time I ever saw him.
