"JIN, NO!!" I screamed as I fell to the ground and grabbed his shirt. He wasn't moving and didn't respond to me. Tears were pouring down my face as I sat next to him.
The three of us ducked down and fell to the ground as another round of gunshots was heard in the air.
I looked at Jin's body once more and saw his chest rise and fall. It was the slightest movement and it told me he was still alive.
We heard more gun shots and police sirens in the distancen
"Jimin, take Mallorie and go! Its not safe here, and you can't get caught by the cops. In this city they put you in jail for being near a gang member, let alone being one."
"No!" I shouted as Jimin pulled me off of Jin and started running in the opposite direction of the sirens, while I was in his arms.
I looked over Jimin's shoulder and took the last look at my brother that I ever would.

Going against Jungkook's warnings we went to the hospital that night. Jin was in a critical condition and had to go into immediate surgery.
We waited for 4 1/2 hours for a doctor. I spent most of that time in Jimin's arms or alone on a couch in the corner.
The doctor came out to talk to us and deliver some news. The three of us sat together as the doctor spoke.
"Well he was doing very well in surgery and we thought we could save him and everything, but we recently discovered that the bullet hit his spine and paralyzed him from the neck down. He would never be able to walk or move on his own again.
But the good news is he won't have to live his life like that and will no longer be in pain."
I felt a lump in my throat because I knew what he was going to say.
"I'm sorry to say we lost Jin, and he is no longer with us. He has passed away."
At that moment everything seemed surreal. Things around me faded away and went fuzzy. I felt like I was going to faint, but I didn't. I ran out of the room and down the main hallway towards the main entrance of the hospital.
I heard someone running behind me, their footsteps getting closer to mine.
"Mallorie! Mallorie! Mallorie!"
I felt them grab my shoulder and I spun around to face them.
"What Jimin?"
"Where are you going? Your brother just died and you run out of the room like you weren't just told that he did."
"I'm going to find the ass hole who killed my brother, and I'm going to show him what happens when he messes with my family. An eye for an eye, a life for a life."
