After a surprisingly peaceful sleep, Angelica arose the next morning feeling confused, her mind clouded. As she tried to remember the night before, her mind only offering quick snippets of bride moments. The more she woke up, the better her memory became until she managed to remember everything to the last detail. With her realisation of last night endeavours, she remembered her ankle. She threw the blankets off and lifted her leg up, examining the injury. Hoping, it was in a better condition and praying it healed it's self over night.
The more she examined her ankle, the more she grew confused. Her ankle appeared to be fine, as if she'd never broken it in the first place. She knew the ultimate test to determine the state of the injury was whether or not she could apply pressure to it.
She slid out of her warm bed and lightly applied pressure to her foot. As she stood up, she closed her eyes right awaiting for the agonising pain, but it never occurred. She opened her eyes and stared down to her foot with blank expression, trying to understand logic.
She went to wake Hermione up and noticed she was the only person in the room, it was in this moment, that she realised she was alone. Angelica glances around the room and the familiar four, sandstone walls and green furniture created a peaceful ambience, finding comfort that she was only a room away from her parents.
She compensated whether or not to notify her parents of her presence but through better of the thought. Last night was an eventful one indeed and not remembering the exact time she got on her room, she decided it wouldn't be fair upon her parents to wake them up this early in the morning.
Unfortunately this morning wasn't a magical one as the previous had been. This morning was dark and gloomy. The cold, winter rain was gently hitting the windows and the slate roof tiles of the castle. The rain fell down softly, water droplets splashing against the windows, drumming with the stained glass.
On a clear day, the landscape created a photograph like picture, with the mountains and it's ranges clear and the lake reflecting the blue sky. Even if a photograph was taken, the picture wouldn't do it justice. The clarity and serenity the landscape surrounding Hogwarts, the peaceful and calming vibes the forest and the lake create together, make it soothing place to be.
However, this morning, was the complete opposite. The mountains peaks which were covered in snow, were clouded with thick fog. The lake had mist on top of it as if it was boiling. The temperature had plummeted over night and with the overcast weather, the sun was not going to warm things up.
Angelica had been awake for over an hour and understood that her parents wouldn't be up for a few lots hours. She didn't want to wait in her room for so long and decided she'd leave to her common room instead. She wrote them a note containing an explanation about her disappearance and meet up with them at breakfast.
She exited her room and entered the living space, the fire was still calmly alive, giving the room warmth. She placed the note on the coffee table and quietly slipped away. As she made her way back, the only noises within the corridors were the faint footsteps and hushed noises from the mice, hidden in the corners and nooks of the castle.
After a quick walk from the cold dungeons to the warmth of the common room, Angelica made it to her destination without a problem. She decided it'd be pointless to go to the dormitories and possibly wake the others. So, she sat down beside the roaring fire and watched the flames, enchanted by how they danced around in the fire place.
She was so lost with the flames of the fire that she hadn't noticed Harry and Ron had woken up and sat down beside her. They decided to wait and see how long it would take for Angelica to noticed them, so they waited patiently for her to come back to earth.
