A/n: Hey my dudes! It's been awhile... One of my New Years resolutions is to write more, and I hope I can stick to it. This is a request I got months ago. Sorry it took so long.

Leo's POV

Usually Leo knew what to do, he knew how to always keep cool and collected in almost every situation. Almost every situation. But he never thought that he would stand in front of a young human child.

They didn't scream or cry or run away at the sight of him, but instead stared at him with a friendly and curious expression.

"Hello," They said happily.

"Huh-Hello," Leo stuttered.

"What's your name?" The young child asked, asked like they were asking for the name of a classmate and not a seven foot mutant turtle.

"Leonardo, But Leo for short," He found himself saying.

"That's a great name!" They smiled brightly.

"Thanks."

"Mines, (y/n)."

"Didn't your mom/dad tell you not to talk to strangers?"

They seemed to ponder this. "You seem nice."

"I seem... nice?"

They nodded. "You're a turtle, right?"

"No, this is just a costume."

"It's too real to be a costume."

Leo didn't know what to say. How could a little kid be so nice and open to someone like him. Most would run away screaming at the top of their lungs.

"My momma/daddy told me not to judge someone by how they look, to be nice to everyone." They walked up to him, holding their little hand out to shake.

Leo shook it hesitantly. His large hands practically encased theirs, even if he was just using his thumb and first finger.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Turtle."

He couldn't help but smile. "It's nice to meet you too, (y/n)."

"I should get going, or my momma/daddy is gonna wonder where I am." (Y/n) pulled away. "Am I ever going to see you again, Leo?"

"Maybe," He said.

(Y/n) smiled a particularly toothless grin before saying, "Goodbye," and running off.

Leo watched until they were around the corner before leaving.

It wasn't that he didn't like the small girl/boy/other, but he wasn't planning on seeing them again. But one night when we was patrolling the city he took a break on the certain building. He stood on the edge of the roof, looking over the city.

"Hey, Leo!" He heard a voice below him. He looked down to see (y/n) sitting on the highest floors balcony, looking up at him.

Wow. Some sneaky ninja he was.

"Oh, hey, (y/n)."

"How are you?"

"Umm, good. How are you?"

"Good. And now I'm talking to you, so really good!"

"(Y/n), who are you talking to?" He heard a voice from inside.
