Ch.9.!

Everyone froze, and turned to look at a pale Ashley. "And you had the nerve to talk about Cass and Jay? Ashley, you done finally went down. " Unc said, rounding the corner.

"Well this is a surprise. My cousin got a baby by my bestfriend and she your babymomma?!" I let out an abrupt laugh and grabbed the keys and Jay's hand. "Ma, watch the twins, please."

   "So where we going.?" He asked as soon as we were outside.

   "The pond." Driving for almost two hours in silence, I pulled up to the pond I discovered when I was little.

  Besides a couple of weeds, it still looked the same. Jay put his jacket down to let me sit on it, before laying down himself. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked, trailing his hand through my hair.

I shook my head, and let the tears flow.  Burrowing my face into his chest, I just silently cried.

*MOOK P.O.V.*

DAMN!I really screwed up this time. Nobody aint tell me Cassi was coming, after all its been almost 4 years. Yea I got a thing for her, been had one since we was in kindergarten but looks like pretty boy her bae. Ashley still bugging me on her after she left, cause I was staring at her.

"Ash! Stfu, all that hollering ain't caused for. " I yelled at her, wanting to just strangle her. Everyone kept doing what they was doing, since this was normal.

"It ain't caused for?! You looking at her like she some piece of meat, in front of me. I'm your girlfriend! Im your babymomma, not her!" See what I mean jealous over nothing.

"Look here holmes, that's my best friend, I don't want her in that way so just chill lil mama. Have some fun, aight."

*CASSIE P.O.V.*

"Aye bae, wake up. " I heard Jay say, as he sat up. We were still at the pond as far as I can tell, it had just gotten dark.

"Nuhh uh carry me please." I asked, opening one eye to look at him. Knowing he would do it, I snuggled back into his chest. " What you gonna cook when we get home?"

After buckling me in, he got in the car. I opened my eyes, when I felt him staring at me. "What you mean cook? You still hungry?" I sheepishly nodded my head, then started to play with the promise ring he had given me. "Ight mama, I gotchu." I kissed his lips and grabbed his hoodie to put over me.

Coming to my moms house it was 11:53 p.m. My dad was standing outside, waiting. "I'll have somebody go out tomorrow to cut the weeds out." He knows everywhere I go.

Walking into the living room, my mama sat on the couch braiding Tony head. "Mama!" He shouted, jumping up and tackling my legs. I eyed my mom and watched as she mouthed candy.

"Heyy big boy! Where your brother at?" I asked looking around. It seemed the party was still going on.

"Upstairs asleep, we finna go?" I told him yea, and headed upstairs to grab Cam. My little junebug was knocked out, with his thumb in his mouth. Making sure I had everything, I slowly made my way down the hall.

As I headed towards the banister, Mook came out the bathroom. "Need some help? " He asked, already reaching to grab Cameron. I huffed and gave him over.

"Thanks, so.... How long you and Ashley been talking?" I questioned, just starting a conversation. When we got down the stairs, I saw Jay playing with Tony and the boys.

"A while now. So who pretty boy?" I put their bags down and grabbed Cameron just as Jay came in. A look of confusion mixed with something else covered Jay's face, as he got Cam.

"Babe this is Mook. Mook this is Jay. Mook was one of my friends, when I used to live here." Not missing the wince from Mook, we said our goodbyes and headed back to the hotel.

The ride was silent except for the tv going showing spongebob. When we got to the hotel , Tony went straight to the other room so I gave him a bath and wiped down Cam. After getting them situated, I went into the master bedroom to find it empty. The bathroom door opened,  and Jay walked in with just his shorts.

"What's up with you and that nigga?"
