Sydney's POV

I walked out the door, into the long hallway. I slowly made my way to the lobby. I looked around and found Aaron talking to a group of guys I had never seen before. As I walked over to them, they became silent and stared at me.

"Gee, it's about time you're done fucking your little boyfriend." Aaron said, laughing with all his friends.

"It's amazing how your fucking attitude changes when you're with different people." I said, walking away.

I walked to the other side of the lobby. I pulled out my phone and dialed Jack J's number. He was one of my closest guy friends. He was friends with Jack G and Sammy but he sure as hell didn't act anything like them.

On the phone

Jack: hello?

Me: hey umm are you busy right now?

Jack: no whatcha need?

Me: I'm at the hospital because one of my friends hurt their leg can you come pick me up?

Jack: sure does she need a ride also?

Me: ugh no she already left..

Jack: oh ok I'll be there in a few mins then!

Me: ok thank you so much!

End of call.

I had to make up some stupid lie that was somewhat believable. I sat in the lobby on my phone, waiting for Jack to get here. It felt like hours until I got a text from Jack saying he was here. I quickly gathered my stuff and walked to his car. I opened the door and he greeted me with a hug. He was like another brother to me.

"Are you okay? You look a little.. sad?" he said, examining my face.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said smiling.

"Okay, just making sure my little sissy was okay." Jack said in a baby voice.

I punched his arm lightly, while laughing.

The car ride home was a nice, comfortable silence. We pulled up into my driveway and I hugged Jack goodbye.

"Thank you, Jack I owe you!" I said hopping out of the car.

I walked up to the front door and opened it. No one was home. Awesome. I walked up the stairs to my room. My house was filled with silence. I liked it.

Monday soon rolled around again. I hadn't talked to Jack G. since the night I brought him to the hospital. He hasn't texted me or even tried to talk to me. Maybe he was busy. Yeah, I'll just keep telling myself he was busy.

I got off the bus and headed for the school doors. I saw Jack Gilinsky standing near the door with his back against the wall. A smile grew on my face. I walked over to him.

"Hey Jack! How's your.." He had a smile on his face but it wasn't one made by me. He pushed past me, ignoring my presence and grabbing onto another girls hand. He kissed her forehead and walked down the hall. "leg" I finished my sentence under my breath.

I walked down the hallway to my first block class. I walked through the door and instantly all eyes were on me. Everyone started to burst out laughing. What was going on? I stood in the doorway, before quickly running out of the classroom. Tears filled my eyes, causing my vision to get blurry. I walked out of the school and into the courtyard. I found a bench far way from anything and dropped my bag down on it.

"What did you say to her?!" I heard voices say from behind me.

"We didn't say anything! She just stormed out!" another voice said.
