Sam's POV
I woke up and felt a body next to me. I quickly got up and looked on the side of me. I froze and looked at the girl. The girl wasn't Sydney which worried me. I was about to get up, when I noticed I was completely naked.
"No, oh my god." I said in a slight panic.
All I remember was kissing a girl at the school. Everything after that was a blur. I grabbed my clothes and put them on quickly. I need to find Sydney. I looked around and noticed I wasn't even in my house. I walked down the stairs and left the house. I picked up my phone and texted Aaron to tell him I'm coming over to see Sydney.
S: I'm coming over to see Sydney. Is she okay?
A: She hasn't came home since last night.
S: Wait what?! Where is she?!
A: No one has seen her...
S: We need to find her!
A: She needs space, leave her alone for a little while.
S: Okay
Why did she run away? Who the hell hurt her? It hit me harder than a wrecking ball. I hurt her. She saw me kissing that girl. I broke her heart.
Sydney's POV
I woke up in the middle of the woods. I looked around and saw no one in sight. The light lit up the forest and made it warm. I slowly got up and looked down at my dress. I remembered Sam kissing a random girl and me running away. I got up and walked further into the woods to get things off my mind. I walked to the little beach right behind the pond. I had no shoes on because I had threw them in the football field so I could run away faster. I walked into the cold sand and watched the waves crash against the shore. I saw some people in the distance but they didn't see me. I looked around and saw more people in the distance on my right side. They looked like they were looking for something. They turned my way and ran further away from me. I put my feet in the water and laid in the sand. I didn't want to go home, ever, I wanted to just stay like this and live my life. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw 103 missed calls and 367 text messages. I threw my phone down in the sand and laid back down. My phone kept ringing nonstop and it got annoying after a while. I put my phone on airplane mode, so I wouldn't get anymore calls. Before I put my phone on airplane mode, I looked at some of the numbers that called me on my lock screen. Some of the numbers I had never even seen before, they weren't even numbers from Omaha. I looked through my texts and I was getting 20 texts messages by the minute saying:
Sydney, please go back home, everyone misses you and they are very worried.
We miss you babe! Stay strong!
Come back home please.
We love you.
I placed my phone in the sand and shut it off. Why did people care where I was? I'm just that girl who makes vines with her brother and gets bullied because I'm a loser. I bet Sam doesn't even know I'm gone, I bet he doesn't care either. He's probably having the time of his life without me. He hasn't called me or texted me at all. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my name being called, again. It sounded like the same voice from yesterday. The person screamed to other people and continued running towards me. I quickly got up and ran back into the woods. I don't want to talk to anyone. The footsteps following me grew louder. I was running as fast as I could when I tripped over a rock. I spun around and landed on my butt. I crawled backwards away from the figure coming towards me. I couldn't make out who it was, so I continued to crawl away.
"Sydney!" more people came running into the woods, towards me.
Who are all these people? There was about 20 different girls and boys. They all looked around my age but I had no idea who they were. Is my mind fucking with me?
