With slow steps i walked along the small way of the park, looking around smiling, while humming quietly to the calm music i was listening to. The sun shined down onto my skin and my dark hair was already as hot as my boyfriend himself. I spun around happily, enjoying the beautiful day. My birthday by the way. It was the day i turn 23 and i couldnt be any happier to be able to spend this special day with my boyfriend, who insisted on taking a day off to spend it with me. He was just the best.

I had to go to the university to give them one of my due essays in time and so i was on the way back home now. Yedam wanted to go with me but i told him it wouldnt take long and be back in just a bit.

I decided to take another way back, through a small park. And it was such a good desicion because the weather was just great. The grass was all green and nearly no one was here. It was perfect for an introvert like me.

I watched a squirrel climbing off a tree and running to a nearby bundle on the ground after running off again. My eyebrows knitted together as i saw something move in the bundle. With slow steps i went to the bundle of random cloths, careful that i wont get attacked if it was a wild animal.

But i immediately stopped in my tracks when i saw what really was moving around in the fabric: there was a baby. A small vulnerable looking baby. With big reddish cheeks and a sleepy face. He was sucking calmly on a pacifier.

My heart stopped and i kneed down to the baby. With a small smile i stroked over his chubby cheek. It yawned cutely and kept on sucking right after. My smile grew bigger but when i remembered that there was a small baby laying on the ground alone, i looked around searching with a small frown. There was no one around. No mother. Nobody.

I picked up the baby carefully, not knowing what to do. Who was that heartless or frustrated to let his baby lay alone in the streets of korea? This baby was the cutest thing ive ever seen.

When i saw a middle aged man in a suit walking the same way as i did, i tried to stop and ask him. "uhm excuse me sir... Did you... Did you saw someone laying down this baby here?" i showed him the baby but he just shook his head and went away. I sighted looking at the baby. "im so sorry this is happening to you. You didnt deserve this sweetie." his big eyes looked right into mine and made me smile again. "dont worry... I know what im doing with you. Lets hope Yedam will agree..."

With these words i pressed the baby caring against my breast and walked out of the park to our shared appartment, me and yedam moved to a while ago.

It was so strange walking around with a baby. Many people on the streets looked at me but i tended to ignore them successfully. I was sure to make the right desicion or i would regret it for sure.

As quiet as possible, i unlocked the door and entered the appartment. The baby still tight in my grib. My heart was beating so fast. How would Yedam react?

"babe? Where are you?" i asked through the whole appartment, trying to find my boyfriend. He probably was working though. "im here. In the bedroom" he answered and with the baby in my arms i found him. Not saying anything, i opened the door to our bedroom and went towards him. His eyes were fixed on the laptop screen infront of him. Like i said... Working.

"yedam..." i started unsure what to say and his eyes immediately went up and met mine but seconds after went down to the bundle. His mouth was slightly open and he stood up to look what there was behind the cloth. His eyes met mine when he saw that it was a baby. A real baby. In my arms. "wha-" he started but i was faster to talk.

"someone left it alone in a park. I found it laying there alone on the ground. The baby is abadoned yedam..." his eyes went wide and he looked at the baby again, taking it from me in his arms. "jesus... Who... Who would do this?" his face was full of sorrow and he carefully hold the baby against his chest while rubbing his back slowly. I smiled at the sight but shook my head. "i really dont know... There was no one around. I asked a man if he saw someone dropping it off but he didnt."
