I was in my room, working on that special something.

"Just gotta connect this wire......aaaannnd DONE!"

I stood up from the desk and backed up, looking at the glorious thing I have just made.

Two words: rocket boots

A while back, I noticed that Avocato had 3 spare pairs of boots. I snuck into his room and stole (I mean "borrow") a pair and began to modify them.

All I needed was a S.A.M.E.S bot, an electric toothbrush, and a spare magnetizer in the storage closet.

And now it was finished, right in front of me, in all it's glory.

"Now I just need to..."

I then hear footsteps. Aw crud.

I began to nervously stuff every piece of evidence in my closet, and I once again cover up the present for that special someone.

Gary walks into my room.

"What's up, Pawbro?"

He's never going to let that go, isn't he?

"Nnnnnnothing."

"I know you're doing something secret. What is it?"

"I don't really want to tell you...."

"You can trust me, Pawbro. If this is involving Avocato, your secret is safe with me."

I thought back to that talk I had with Gary a few days back.

"Well, I guess.....you COULD look at it. But DON'T TELL AVOCATO. It's a surprise."

I take my coat off the table, revealing the rocket boots to Gary.

"Whoa, my slacks are tightening looking at this! It's amazing!"

"You...think he'll like it?"

"He definitely will! Good luck, Pawbro!"

I knew it.

He then ran off to the deck. Probably to annoy Quinn about going out sometime.

I wish I was like Gary sometimes.

I started shining the boots and making them look more nice.

"I am pretty pooped out. Might as well nap."

I hide the boots under my bed and jump onto my bed.

And I soon begin to drift off to sleep.

Sadly, I only got 5 minutes of naptime.

All because Gary had to screw up the landing.

I fell off my bed and I got up, grabbing my backpack and placing the rocket boots inside.

I hope that he likes them.

I ran to the deck, backpack on my back (duh) and asked what the hell was going on.

"We're going to check out an Infinity Guard outpost. Looking to see if they're involved in some evil overlord stuff."

"Gary, the Infinity Guard is...."

"corrupted!"

"Whatever. Believe in what you want."

We all head down to the docking bay, prepping for the trip.

I notice Quinn and Gary fighting again.

"Avocato, Pawblo and I are going to scout on foot. The rest of you stay here and fix the ship."

"Quinn!"

"What?!"

"If I could pour a tall glass of truth-juice for you real quick, Quinn......I am not feeling the trust."

"I only trust three things in this world: my dog,
my sister and every single member of the Infinity Guard."

"The Infinity Guard tried to kidnap you, they tried to take over the Galaxy One AND dogs aren't even people!"

"I have no reason to trust any of you, so I'm going with the tech guy AND the guy who is literally covered in guns."

I turn around to see Avocato, covered in guns.

Oh crap, she wasn't kidding.

She made a motion with her hand and we accompanied her down the hill, towards the signal on the GPS.

I notice Gary is coming along for this recon-op also, but I'm fine with it. He's chill.

"I think it's best if we split up for a bit. Gary and Avocato, stay back. I'll go up ahead with Pawblo."

Wait what me?

I walked ahead up to Quinn.

I noticed that Gary and Avocato kept walking, but were just chatting.

"Still haven't told him yet?"

I turn to Quinn.

"N-no. I'm just....waiting for the right moment."

"Man, I hope you two get together. You're perfect for each other."

I felt surprised at her words.

"You really think so?"

"I know so."

I look down, smiling. "Thanks for those words of encouragement, Quinn."

"You're welcome."
