Chapter 16: I Was Not Fine 😅

I woke up to the sound of beeping, and I see Avocato gripping my hand.

"A-avocato?"

He looked up and began to tear up happily. "I thought you were dead!"

"So did I..."

He hugged me lightly, as I was still in pain because of my arm and blood loss, as he told me.

"How long was I passed out for?"

"3 hours."

At least it wasn't more worse than last time.

We were there, in silence.

"So....is your son okay?"

He smiled. "Little Cato's fine, thanks to you."

"Don't thank me. I literally blew up a hole in the ship."

"...with a bomb that was planted on Little Cato's back."

"Yeah, but I still put you all in danger, especially your son."

I felt a few tears stream down my cheek. "I feel really bad about this, Avocato. I knew I had to, because you two would have died....."

My voice began to crack a little.

"...and I didn't want to see that happen to both of you!"

And then, right then and there, I cried.

Avocato held my hand with one hand, and wiped my tears with a tissue in the other.

"It wasn't your fault, Pawblo. You did the right thing."

"Y-you think so?"

He held my hand tighter.

"I know so."

He held my face and pulled me in for a kiss. It was tender and sweet. I melted into it and we slowly made out.

"Dad?"

We abruptly stop to see Little Cato in the doorway, with a face that said "confused".

"Oh! Hey, son. Yeah, he's awake."

Little Cato walked in and stood still right beside Avocato.

"Hey, dad. Why were you two making out?"

I blushed a bright red.

Avocato sighed and smiled a little.

"Little Cato, this is Pawblo. We met a few days ago and now....he's my boyfriend." I felt his hand grasp mine.

Little Cato glanced at me and smiled. "Thanks for saving me and my dad, Pawblo."

I laugh. "You don't have to thank me, Little Cato. I put everyone in danger."

"But you're awesome! You killed those guards in the hallway! It was freaking amazing!"

I smile in awe as he talked about how Avocato told him about their adventures together.

".....and you're now my Dad's....boyfriend?"

I nervously replied, "Y-yeah, I am."

Little Cato smiled and turned to his dad.

"Dad, you have the best boyfriend ever."

We both smiled at the kind words that he said.

"I sure do", Avocato said as he glanced at me.

"Thanks, Little Cato, for the compliment."

"You're welcome!"

Little Cato came towards my side and gave me a hug. "Thanks for....making my Dad happy."

I patted his back. "I'm glad he even IS happy."

Avocato soon pecked my forehead.

"We should probably let him sleep, son."

"Okay, dad."

"Get some rest, babe. Okay? Holler if you need anything.

I nodded, and watched as they walked out of the room.

Until Little Cato came back.

"Just between you and me, I hope you two get married! It'll be cool having two dads!"

He then left.

I soon felt a huge blush formed on my face.

Marriage???? Who knows..... >_<
