Chapter 19: The Crew v. The Infinity Guard Dickwads

I woke up to see that Avocato was getting dressed.

"Morning, sleepyhead."

"Man, I barely remember last night. You were.....amazing."

"Maybe I went too overboard with last night." He shot me a wink. 😉

I blush madly. "Quite possibly. Maybe you went (ow) a little too hard." I got up, but I felt a small sting of pain on my ass.

"What? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I'm fine. It was....great, Avocato. I loved it."

"Glad that you did."

He tossed my clothes onto the bed. "Gary called for us. Said that it's important. Get dressed, babe."

I nodded. Seeing how he was already dressed, I proceeded to dress myself.

A few minutes later.....

I walked into the deck where the others were. Little Cato waved at me, Gary was giving me some weird look, Quinn smiled, and Avocato was smiling as well.

"Where's Other Quin—I mean Nightfall?"

"She left a while ago."

"Focus, guys. We found this in Gary's father's files."

Quinn pulled up an old video feed which showed John Goodspeed, Gary's father, as well as....THE LORD COMMANDER?!?

"Can someone explain why Gary's dad is with the Lord Commander?!?"

They told me that the titan that they met was Bolo, who let Gary go back in time and talk with his Dad about where could there be an anti-matter bomb, the only thing that can close the breach to Final Space.

Oh yeah, and the Lord Commander's real name is Jack, and that he was infused with the mystical powers of Final Space. AND that Mooncake is made out of—well, yeah, Final Space.

Whew, this is pretty complicated.

"I know where that is. It's the Infinity Guard spire."

"Then next stop, THAT place!"

I roll my eyes at Gary's response.

Turning my eyes to Avocato, I saw that he was talking to his son, telling him that everything would be all right because we would all be working together.

I was glad that they were my family now.

We were all now in the deck. Guns can be heard being loaded, clips being packed and S.A.M.E.S turning power tools into superweapons. Crazy stuff.

"The Infinity Guard betrayed the human race. They're on the other side, and we're on the other. Don't show them mercy."

"Got it."

"All right! Lets kick their butts."

The ship lands just outside the spire. We all face the hatch door, waiting for it to be opened.

"Hey, Avocato?"

"Yeah?"

"Mind if I ask you some—"

We then hear the door open, being greeted to gunfire.

It's the Infinity Guard dickwads.

"GIVE IT TO 'EM, BOYS!"

Quinn jumps out, firing her photon shotgun in the air.

The rest of us followed in suit, with guns blazing and firing.

Little Cato ran ahead.

"LITTLE CATO!"

I see as he pounced on a guard and shot him multiple times.

"All right! Great job, son! You're as good as me!"

"Like I said before, dad: I surpassed you years ago!"

They have such a great relationship.

We kept shooting at the guards.

"This might take a while, won't it?"

15 minutes later.....

After that battle with the I.G soldiers, we finally made it to the room where the bomb was.

"Bomb vault, yo! We made it!"

Gary shot the lock off and we all entered.

Quinn and Gary hurried to the dashboard, and found where the bomb case was.

There was nothing in it.

"Wait, where's the bomb?!?"

"It's gone. Where is it, H.U.E? We're running out of time."

"Odds are that space douche has instructed his dickheads to hide it."

"H.U.E, can you find it??"

"Mhmmn. Hmmm. Ah. All files have been deleted. Location unknown."

"Unknown?!"

There was silence.

"So it's over."

Suddenly, there's an explosion behind us. It's the Infinity Guard dickheads.

"Freeze! Drop your weapons!"

"Drop them now!"

We then see them trap Mooncake in a force field.

"Mooncake!"

We were all forced to lay down on the ground.

It can't get worse than this.

"Commence the executions."

WAIT, WHAT?!?!?

I turn my head to see Avocato, staring back at me.

"Well.....this is the end, isn't it?"

"I guess so....We've never went on a first date, haven't we?"

"I don't think so."

"Silence!"

"Well....if we DO get out of this mess, how about we actually go on a date?"

".....With you, Avocato, I would do anything."

I hear the guns of the guards as they're about to fire.

Suddenly, I hear bodies falling onto the ground. We all got up to see that the guards have been shot.

"Wait, who shot....???"

We all turn our heads to see a green alien dude in some soldier attire and....another ventrexian.

"Sorry we're late."
