Dear Lisa,
Hello. Yes I know, my letters are probably starting to seem very tedious. I know I need to write you, although most of the time I can't think of what to say. The funny thing is, so much happens when you're not here. I notice it all, which is the weird part. Before all I used to do was get lost in your eyes and I didn't know half of what was ever going on.
I wasted my time when I was with you; I should have said all this sappy, romantic stuff when we were together. I had a lot of it written down, but I was too shy to ever give it to you. Maybe that was why you often made me watch chick flicks with you - to remind me that I needed to be like those guys in the movies. I tried, but boy it was hard. As long as you know I love you, right?
My art is doing great in the museum! They offered me a job at a big art school in New York but I said no - it was more important to stay with the kids. Especially since the state Tom's in right now... mostly he just complains that you can't be there to kiss it better. I just tell him that when you come back he'll get all of the kisses he wants. You would have wanted me to say that, right? I know you'll always protect him. And Grace. I don't even have to double check that one with you.
Grace met a nice little girl her age at the park today. It was adorable; she was so excited to make a new friend. I remember her telling me all about her when we got home: she's pretty, she's nice, she has a massive Barbie collection, and I think I recall that her name was Carson. Grace was really happy to learn all about her since she's Cristian. Her mother doesn't allow her to watch TV, she goes to a Sunday school, and she has bookcases galore.
Maybe you should start reading my letters for a change! It would certainly update you on what's going on around here, if you're ever curious. Which you must be... right? Haha, our lives are pretty interesting. I know you don't read them because I always see them un-opened, right where I dropped them off for you. I also know you love hearing about the kids, which may be why I mention them so much in my writing. It's not like you want to hear much about me.
I have to go now, but I'll see you real soon. I hope.
Lots of love,
Liam xoxo
