Dear Lisa,
Today was interesting. Not very good, though. Let me give you the details; Grace was sitting on the end of the dock and then Tom came running down with his water wings, ready to jump in the water. She had her arm outstretched and didn't see him coming, while he tripped on it and... well, broke his ankle. That was earlier today, maybe around three. It's now seven. Oh yes, the kids say goodnight.
It'll get better, won't it? His ankle? If you were here you would probably wrap your pinky around his and promise. Maybe then he wouldn't worry as much.
Being a single (well, temporarily) father is difficult! I don't know how I'm going to hold up until you get back! How do you do it? I guess that's why you're the 'man' of the house. Where would I be by now without you? Probably no where, forgetting about the kids at the playground, juggling parenting books in between my hands. Thank goodness I didn't do all of this without you.
Tiffany stopped by today, imagine that. I wasn't sure if we were ever going to see her again, especially after what happened. You know, you two don't have the best history with her... but you know, why dwell on things in the past, hmm? Okay, I guess we can dwell a little bit. I can never actually forget what she did. She wanted to apologize! Imagine that!
I love you. I've always loved you. I'll never stop. I guess I should end my note saying that; you never heard it enough. I love you.
