Paisley's POV:
I ran...I ran as fast as I could. Which wasn't fast at all I remember making the block in about five minutes. I'm too big to do anything! Thank god I got away in enough time. God knows what he would've done to me if I wouldn't have ran out the door. What if he sends the police after me?! What if he's running after me?! What if he finds me?! I pulled out a crumbled slip of paper out of my pocket. Courtney's number! I saved it in my pocket when I'd left. I didn't have my phone! That was in the bag that is now with the mad man. I can keep the number but forget the phone! "FUCK!" I screamed loudly it echoed off the the apartment buildings. The street light above me shook. I ran again this time a little slower than before. All those times I'd snuck out finally came in handy. I knew the exact route to the nearest payphone. It was three blocks away from where I was standing when I started. I began to walk now my short stubby legs couldn't go any longer. I picked up the tail of my holy white shirt and dabbed my beads of sweat. Just two more to go. I stopped in my tracks. Falling to my knees I began to cry. I'm never gonna get away from him. Never! Never! Never! I began to sob loudly. My tears fell to the rough pavement below me. A man cycled by me and hopped off his bike. I saw his thin statured shadow under the dim orange street lamp. He held out his hand. I gripped it tightly and rose to my feet. "I'm sorry III...I know I was in the way," I stumbled through those words. "It's quite alright," he smiled, "I just wanted to make sure you're alright." He held my hand even after he'd helped me up. "Where you heading?" He asked me pulling me under the light. He was so handsome. His eyes were forest green, his face was matured but slightly young, and his frame was perfect. I came out of my trance, "I'm heading to the nearest payphone," I quickly replied, "It's about two blocks from here." He held both of my shaking hands and looked into my eyes. Then I suddenly knew who it was. "Noah!" I excitingly said. He grinned, "Paisley," he replied softly pulling me into a hug. Noah was a freshman at our school. I'd liked him since we met when I started middle school. He's been my best friend since. Well sorta best friend. We didn't put a title on anything, but we were definitely more than friends. He wrote me songs and letters. His voice is so hypnotizing. His lips were even more addictive. My first kiss was in seventh grade when he'd snuck me out for the umteenth time. We'd went out to Central Park. He kissed me under the big oak tree, and the millions of stars that twinkled above us. He claims me as his at school. He pulled a strand of hair out of my face, "hey baby," he said softly kissing my forehead. He grabbed his bike and we began to walk where I was heading. "He kicked me out Noah," I paused,"I'm going to find my brother." He stopped and looked at me puzzled. "You have a brother?" He questioned. "Yes and I'm going to find him," I said determined. He smiled. "I'm coming with you," he replied happily. As much as I wanted to do this alone I'm not telling him no. I need someone who knows places, and he's my person. He lives alone, has a job, and loves me. "I have to make a phone call," I said demandingly, "then we leave." He nodded and kept pacing forward. Maybe I finally was gonna have a life I wanted. It was time to leave...Park's POV:
Aaron banged on my door. She was screaming at me. I could tell she had been crying. "PARK PLEASE AT LEAST ANSWER ME!" She screamed into the door. I was crying myself letting the blood from the scratches run. Some of them began to scab, as they'd been sitting exposed to the air for too long. They were as jagged as my nails were. She bagged again. Louder and louder every couple of knocks. "Park," she whispered, "please..." he words lingered in my head. Please. Please. Please. I stood up and opened the door. She ran in and practically tackled me when she hugged me. She kissed my forehead and buried me into her chest. Then she let go and stared at me. "I don't care about your arms," she said calmly wiping her tears, "I care that you're okay." I bolted back into her arms again. I sobbed quietly into her shoulder. Then I peered over to see my princess. I let go of Arron and ran to Florence. I grabbed her by her waist and kissed her. She quickly gave in. Her body touching mine. I ran my fingers through her short hair. I let go to allow her to breathe, but after two seconds she jumped back. I wasn't worried about Aaron at that moment. I was having a moment of bliss with my lovely one. When we'd let go this time we both turned to Aaron. She was staring at us in awe. Florence was beneath my arm and holding my hand that dangled on her left. Then my mother appeared in the doorway. She knocked and then slowly clapped. "Well done Park you made a friend," she laughed, "I hope you really love her because your time has been extended to six months." She laughed obnoxiously now. Florence bolted from my arm, but I pulled her back hugging her from behind. Aaron crossed into her sight on Florence and I. "Glad to know you've extended the time," she said politely, "but I hope you enjoyed your time, because that's your last time speaking to him again." She was stunned. I waved and so did Florence. "Bye bitch," Florence remarked. I laughed and so did Aaron. "Bye bye momma," I added through my laughter. Arron shut the door behind her and escorted my mom away. Florence turned to me. "Thank God she finally left," she said kissed me once again.
