I heard him open the door slowly and peek in making sure not to wake me up if I was sleeping.

"Oh hey Nathie, Thought you were sleeping" he says coming in quicker and more swiftly.

"Yeah, I just woke up a few minutes ago actually"

"Are you feeling any better?"

"Yeah, just a bit tired"

"Well you had a really rough night" he explains.
"I was worried we'd have to call an ambulance if you were out to long. But I can see your alright now. You've actually got some color in your face"

I just laugh for a second and give him a goofy grin.
He looks at the clothes I'm wearing and smirks.

"How the fuck do those fit you? They barley fit me at 13 and they're too big on you at 17"

"Guess I just got lucky with being so small"

"Guess so"

He looks over me for a minute.

"So.. what do ya wanna do? You can't stay in bed all day you know"

"Yeah I know"

"Don't we have a party to go to?"

"Forget it"

"Why?"

"Just forget it"

"I think we should go, Adam and Wyatt are your friends. I don't mind."

"It's not that.."

"So what's up?"

"Nothing never mind"

"So are we going?"

"I guess"

A few hours later we were standing in front of Adams door, both dressed in black jeans. Korys shirt was a red button up and mine was my blue hoodie. I had Korys grey one in his car in case I decided to change later though

"You ready?" He looks at me and smirks.

"I guess" I say looking down.

When we walked in we were greeted by the smell of beer and weed. The rooms were crowded to the point where people were being pressed into walls. Music was blaring and smoke was everywhere.

"Nathan! Kory! Glad you could make it" Adam yells over. He looks high, no shock there.

"Hey, you seen Wyatt?" I asked, he was the only reason I let Kory drag me here.

"Oh yea, forgot to tell you. He couldn't come" he shrugs.

Great.

"Oh alright, I'm gonna use the bathroom"
