If there was one thing Grian had always disliked about breaks, it was the fact that halfway through he always got bored. He would very quickly run out of things to do and realize how much time school took up in his life. Unlike J, he was not willing to open up his textbooks and skim through the next few chapters just yet. He wanted to relax, but relaxing was getting boring.
Taurtis had taken J and Sam out to the park today, which left just him and Dom. By now, Dom would have come in to bug him for attention or at least be making a racket outside, but the dorm was quiet. Grian debated getting up to check on him. On one hand, Dom was a big boy, he could handle himself and wouldn't cause to much damage if left alone. On the other hand, Grian was bored.
He pushed himself off his bed and headed out to the hall. He heard shuffling coming from Dom and J's room. He knocked before opening the door popping his head in, "Dom?"
"Hmm?" Dom looked up from where he sat, cross-legged on the floor. His closet door was open and he was looking through a box in front of him.
"What are you doing?" Grian stepped into the room.
"I'm organizing the closet. J said I was taking up too much space."
"Can I help?"
Dom shrugged, "If you really want to."
Grian sat down next to Dom. The box was full of old pictures and random items. Grian assumed it was a memory box. To be honest, he hadn't pegged Dom as the type to have one or more, judging from the number of boxes taking up the closet. Even without the boxes, clothes were strewn everywhere except the hangers. Though, off to the side, there were neatly placed clothes, shoes, and luggage. You could clearly tell what belonged to J and what belonged to Dom.
"Why do you have so many boxes?" Grian asked.
Dom glanced at the closet, "Umm... I wanted to take this stuff with me, just in case."
"In case of what?"
"I don't know. I made strange decisions Freshmen year," Dom forced a laugh.
Grian frowned, fully aware that Dom was lying to him. He was about to question him further when his eyes fell on the picture he was holding. It was of five kids all at the beach, but he mainly focused on two boys in particular.
"Is that you and Taurtis?"
"Yeah," Dom smiled fondly, "This was on the last day of 5th grade. To celebrate we all ran down to the beach near our elementary. I laid down in the sand and Taurtis made me into a mermaid. He gave me big boobs."
Grian laughed, "Must have taken him a long time."
"Yeah, he even poked me with a stick so he could get the nipples correct."
"Sounds like a fun day," Grian stared at his closet, "What about the tie? It seems like it would belong to Taurtis instead of you."
Hanging out of one of the boxes was a blue and red tie. Dom grabbed it, wrapping it around his hand.
"In eighth grade, we had a "graduation" dance. Taurtis and I didn't have a date, so we decided to go together as friends. He insisted that I wear this one and he would wear a purple one, so we would be wearing each others' colors."
"Aww," Grian teased.
Dom rolled his eyes, "Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. But that was the night that we admitted our feelings for each other. So, I don't know, call me sappy, but I'm keeping this tie forever."
"What about all those teddy bears?" Grian asked, staring at the generous assortment of teddy bears carrying hearts, "I don't suppose they're all J's."
Dom had a faint blush on his cheeks, "Taurtis got me them, though one or two are J's."
Grian propped his head upon his hands as he stared at Dom, "What I'm hearing is, you're not willing to part with any of this stuff."
"I said organizing not throwing away," Dom huffed.
"Dom, there's no way all of that can fit in there and still have room for J's things."
"Yes, there is. I just have to fit more things in boxes."
Hoarder. Hoarder was the word Grian wanted to use right now, but he knew Dom wouldn't take kindly to it. The closet looked like it could possibly be holding everything Dom owned.
"I just need to clean up a few things," Dom insisted as he stood and walked towards his closet, "If you don't want to help anymore you can go."
Grian signed, wordlessly getting up and helping him. If they shoved some teddy bears out of the way and place the boxes as tightly together as they possibly could, it might all just fit. Maybe it wasn't as hopeless as Grian thought it was. If Dom was so adamant on keeping everything, Grian wasn't going to stop him. Not that he would be able to do anything anyway; Dom was clearly attached to everything in there. He just wished he knew why.

Hey guys, I know it's only April, but this Halloween, my friends and I agreed to be Hogwarts characters. Though, technically, I'm going to be my OC, Alice Riverbell. But I'm really hyped, because I bought a wand and tie and they're going to coming next week. I'm also just excited because this will be the first time I actually get to play a character for Halloween. Usually, I'm just myself in a costume. But I get to act. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you in the next chapter, Bye~!
