Youngjae

I left my eyes shut as I snuggled tighter in my warm blanket, wiggling closer to JB when I realised he was missing.

I frowned and lifted my head, opening my eyes to see the empty space beside me. I reached for my phone from the bedside table, the screen lighting up to show me that I received some texts.

From: Bummie kitty hyung

Jae.
Had to go get my haircut and makeup done
There's a recording for JJ project later

I shook my head at my phone, his texts always so stuffy sounding.

Oh...

I typed a quick response, smiling to myself as I thought of surprising him. I had only just sent the text and was typing the next line when my phone started buzzing.

I stared at it stunned, the photo I snapped of him flashing back at me. His sharp gaze was captured in that photo, his body lying face down with his head tilted towards the screen as he woke after hearing my laughter.

A small smile was on his lips as he looked so intensely at the camera. I remembered him leaping to his feet to tickle me until I apologised and begged, his hands tugging me towards him as we ended up making out and... one thing led to another.

"Hello?" I answered, snapping out of my thoughts.

"Jae..." he murmured.

"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly, his tone and sudden call causing all kinds of thoughts to get thrown into my head.

"You're awake"

"I am" I replied, confused by his statement. My odd man... at least he sounds better now.

He stayed silent on the other end as I did, simply knowing and feeling him on the other end was enough, filling the weird hole I felt waking up alone.

"What time does your shoot start?" I asked after awhile, breaking the silence.

"In an hour. Jae, I..." he replied before getting interrupted by someone in the background.

I couldn't pick up what the person said, only hearing JB reply a "yes".

"I got to go Jae" he breathed, ending with a soft sigh.

"I'll miss you" I muttered.

"I know. I already do" he suddenly confessed, my heart speeding up just from his words.

"I love you" I squeaked, hanging up quickly after. I buried my face in the pillow, breathing in his lingering scent.

I played with the edge of the the pillow before propping myself up, deciding to go and surprise him on set. I'll even bring him his milk and some snacks.

Hyung. Where is your shoot at?
I want to surprise JB hyung...
Please don't let him know!

Haha. No worries. XX studio.
Great that you're coming.
He's been grouchy ALL morning.

I hopped out of bed, skipping to the toilet when I hesitated at the door, realising this would be the first time I would shower without him. He's always been here for me... even when I was throwing a tantrum. I can do this for him. I need to go support him.
