Our schedules had slowed down and we spent most of our days practicing for the upcoming concert, using the rest of the time to relax in our room or studio producing the new tracks for the next album.

JB sat with his leg propped up on the chair, his focus on the screen in front of him as he played around with a few tunes, humming along and scribbling some things on the paper next to him.

I tried to focus on the track I had on hand when I felt the urge to say and do something, turning to face him instead. He was so focused that he didn't notice, his eyes flickering up to mine when I rested my hands on his shoulders.

He continued to mix around with the tune, fixing it here and there while I tried to build up the confidence and courage to say what I wanted to.

"I want to produce a song with you" I blurted out.

JB's head snapped up at that, his shocked eyes searching mine before turning to curiosity. He searched my eyes wordlessly, nodding slowly with a smile after a beat.

"But I only know how to write sad songs" I muttered, moving to sit next to him.

"Okay. Let's write one then" he replied, giving me a soft smile.

He tugged me onto his lap, resting his head on my shoulder so that I could take over the keyboard. His arms circled around my waist to support me, his chin on my shoulder as he looked at my fingers.

"I'm too comfortable to be sad" I mumbled, giving him a side glance.

He threw his head back and laughed, looking so captivating as his eyes crinkled shut, his Adam's apple protruding out his long neck. I turned in his lap and tugged his face to mine, his expression so confused as he looked back into my eyes.

His eyes darkened in that split second, his hand reaching up to cup the nape of my neck as he wrapped me closer to him, finally pressing his lips against mine. He shone so brightly, the image of him burning behind my eyelids.

I lifted myself shakily from him when we broke apart, shifting to stand in front of him instead. A frown flashed across his face so quickly that I almost missed it, giving me a straight face as he folded his hands by his sides.

"You can't just do this" I breathed, trying to get my heart rate back to normal.

He averted his eyes and cleared his throat, folding his arms across his chest protectively. I dropped my head to his chest, feeling drunk just from his kiss.

"I'm supposed to be sad" I mumbled, my forehead still pressed against his chest. I felt his chest vibrate and snapped my eyes up at him, seeing him clamp his lips together. I tried glaring at him as his eyes shone with joy, just barely concealing his amusement at my expense.

I huffed at him, straightening myself and spinning away from him when he grabbed me. He scooped me back into his chest, his entire frame folding over mine.

"I'm sorry Jae" he murmured, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Bummie... it's not"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh" he interrupted, pressing a kiss to my neck.

"I just... get too... overwhelmed by you" I sighed, wrapping his arms tighter around me.

I turned in his arms to face him, catching his wide eyes and lost expression. I held onto his shoulders, tugging him nearer before resting my palm over his heart.

I felt his heart raced under my fingers, his arms pulling me closer as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry" he murmured, reaching up to stroke my head gently, his hand cupping my head closer to him.
