I have not updated in AGES so I am really, really sorry. Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter. Although I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen. Enjoy!

Pov: Alec

We stood in each other's arms for a while after Lorenzo had gone, simply enjoying each other's company.

Then I yawned.

"Bedtime? " Magnus asked.
"Yeah." I yawned back. I was really tired. Magnus laughed as he led me to his bedroom. We stripped down to our boxers and climbed under the silk sheets, snuggling close to each other. A question popped into my head.

"Mags? "
"Yes Alexander? "
"What happens next? "
At this Magnus looked me in the eyes.
His face more serious then I had ever seen it before.
"Well... It depends. " He said after a minute. "You could either go back to your dead end job as an Elite, or you could work with me to make the Elite's lives better, and bring freedom to the people."
"That makes you sound like a rebel." I had encountered some rebels before, while on guard duty in the lower city. They hadn't seemed like too big a threat.
"And if I was?"
"I couldn't care less." I replied, shocking myself. "However, all the rebels I've run into don't seem to be that dangerous." Magnus laughed.

"There are two different groups of rebels, Alexander. One group is the group of people inside the city who do the best they can with the resources they can get. These are the ones you are familiar with. However, those rebels have one main goal: to get outside the city and join the Alliance that exists outside it."
"Really?"
"Yes. The Alliance outside of the city is called the Downworlder Alliance. Of which I am one of the heads."
"What!" I could tell my face was the epiphemy of shock. In public, Magnus seemed content with the world and his position in it. Obviously, he wasn't, and I had only scratched the surface of his rebellious streak.
"Keep your voice down Alexander. You realise you can't tell anyone about this right? "
"Yeah, of course. You know what, I think I might stay and help you out. "
"Cool. So, tomorrow, can you take me on a tour of the Elite Compound?"
"Sure. "
And with that we fell asleep tangled in each other's arms. I slept peacefully in the first time in a while. I even dreamt:

I was in a dark corridor, with Magnus standing in front of me. He beckoned me to follow him. So I did.

We exited into a futuristic looking hall with computers everywhere. Magnus led me through the crowd of people, stopping quickly to confer with a woman who's skin, under her glamour, was a bright blue.

Magnus took me on a tour of the whole building. I saw a room with lots of people in, conferring over a map. I saw bedrooms, a canteen, even a large shimmering portal on a wall. Through a doorway, I glimpsed people forging swords and other weapons.

Suddenly, I was waking up next to Magnus. He was looking at me, amused.
"What's so funny? "
"You missed the morning bell. "
"MAGNUS! Why didn't you wake me?"
"I tried. Come on, get up and face the day. You promised me a tour, remember. "

Hope you liked this chapter. I now know why it took me so long to write.

Autocorrect is one of my personal demons.

I have others.

Anyways, thanks for reading.
