Dinner with the Council

Pov: Magnus

I sighed and stood up to open the door. Just when I finally had a chance to tell Alec an interesting story about my past.

I opened the door to find Warp standing on the other side. Their face was slightly frowning.

"What?" I asked.

"Have you forgotten about dinner?"

"Oh. Yeah, I did. "

"Good thing I came to get you then. Everyone is waiting for us. "

I turned round and called to Alec. "Alec! Dinner!"

"Do I have to come? " He asked as he walked towards me.

"Yes, you do. Now come on. "

Alec sighed but followed me out into the corridor. I closed the door behind him with a flick of my hand. Warp skipped along in front of us as we slowly mad our way towards the dining hall. They stopped just before the closed doors.

"Right, before we enter, I should warn you that everyone will probably be annoyed because of what happened today. However, it is important that you attend this meal to show that you aren't trying to steal secrets. "

We nodded, and Warp plastered a smile onto their face and pushed the doors open wide. As we entered the room, a cacophony of noise greeted us. However, it quickly died down as the demons realised that we had walked in.

"Sit down quickly. " Lucifer was almost burning the table because he was so angry that we were late. I dragged Alec towards the other end of the table where two chairs were set up on the right of my Father. I reluctantly sat down in the seat adjacent to him, which meant that Alec had to sit next to Azazel. I felt bad for him. Warp went and sat down on their throne at the end of the table. Finally, the servants bought out the food.

Mass dinners involved a lot of specialist foods for certain demons. These included a glass of crimson blood for Hecate and a huge buffet for Hunger. And this was just the starter.

Laid in front of Alec and I were two plates full of doughballs and garlic butter. There was also cucumber and tomato placed on the side of the place.

Warp clapped their hands together, and everyone turned to look at them.

"So today was a rather... Entertaining... Day, wasn't it? " Everyone nodded, scared to disagree with them. "So, today we have a new person among us, which means.... INTRODUCTION TIME! "

"Do we have to? " Lilith whined from her place at the other end of the table.

"Yes." Warp turned to their left. "Lulu, you go first. "

Lucifer sighed, leaned back in his chair, and said:

"I'm Lucifer, also known as the Devil. You may have heard of me. " He looked to his left.

The woman sat next to him, leaned forward, and introduced herself as Ms. Dark. Next was Moloch, then Abaddon, Hunger, Marbas (who I thought I had killed a while ago. Turned out I was wrong. ) and Hecate.

The next person along was Jem. "I'm Jem, and I am a Nephilim. " Lucifer's face twisted with anger at Jem's words. Next was Tessa. "I'm Tessa, and I am a warlock who is half Nephilim. "
Those two seemed to have made it their mission to annoy everyone today.

Azazel shifted slightly so that he was looking straight at Alec. He threw his sharpened knife.....

... And it landed in the table, adding a new gouge to the multitude already there. "I'm Azazel, and I created the weapons that have killed multiple Nephilim throughout the ages. "

Next was Alec, but I quickly spoke up before he had to.
"I'm Magnus Bane, and this is my boyfriend Alec. "

I turned to smirk at my father, who simply said that his name was Asmodeus before turning towards Lilith.

"I am Lilith, the true queen of demons."

Everyone froze and slowly turned their heads towards Warp, whose casual demeanour had changed for the worst. They placed her feet onto the end of the table and used their talons to pull themselves up. They were now standing on the top of the table. Their wings spread, and suddenly they were flying at full speed down the table, knocking Lilith out of her seat and into a banner bearing the Council emblem.

"What did you say?" Their eyes burned with a dark fire as Lilith squirmed underneath their claws. "The only ruler here is me. I thought I made that clear."

Lilith nodded weakly, and Warp let them drop to the floor. They turned to face the table.

"My turn! I'm Warp Vight, daughter of Sammael and the true true queen of the demons."

They went and sat back down as Lilith nervously sat back down in her chair.

"Now that introductions are over, let's eat! " Uma said, and everyone happily tucked in.

I was trying to write this one on my phone. My autocorrect kept turning Alec into Alex. It was rather annoying.
