I woke up, welcomed by the cool breeze and morning sun. My (e/c) eyes fluttered open to chestnut brown ones staring back at me.
"W-were you watching me sleep?" I said through a yawn.
"Maybe..." Johnny said with a small grin.
I sat up, crossed my arms and looked at him with a slight blush.
"What? You were cute." He defended himself, although it didn't do much to help his case. He was laying down on his side and was propping his head up with his hand. Geez he was really cute.
"You thought that was going to help?" I asked him with a small laugh.
"Maybe? But I have a small surprise for you."
"And what might that be?"
"My family. And now it's your family too."
"W-what?"

We entered the small house and there were at least 7 teenage boys that looked awfully familiar.
Oh no.
Dallas Winston.
"Oh hey, Johnny Cake! Who'd you bring here?" A skinny frail boy with jet black greased back hair much like the rest of the gang in here said.
"Oh umm, my name is (Y/N)"
"Pleased to meet ya. I'm Ponyboy."
He reached his hand out for a handshake and I took it."Wow... Firm grip for a lady," Ponyboy said with a smile.
"I'm pretty much known for it," I replied with a small laugh.
"Hey! Everyone!" Everybody in the room stopped their chatter and whatever they were doing and looked at the boy I just met.
"This is (Y/N). Give her a warm welcome."
Everyone came over and formed a crowd around Johnny and I. My anxiety kicked in and I think that Johnny could tell. He gently gripped my hand which I firmly gripped on to for dear life, and I could feel the electric tingle between us.
He bent down to my ear and whispered, "Hey, it's okay. These guys are really friendly. They took me in at my worst time. You'll be fine."
I let my grip ease up, and he let go. I missed the comforting warmth of his skin touching mine, but I didn't want to get too hasty.
"How do ya do? My name is Keith Matthews, but everyone knows me as Two-Bit," a boy with rusty colored hair and a Mickey Mouse t-shirt said to me.
"Nice to meet ya," I replied.
"I'm Sodapop. Ponyboy's brother," a handsome boy with dirty blonde-gold hair and deep brown eyes introduced.
"I'm Darry. Sodapop and Ponyboy's oldest brother. And in case you were wondering, this is our house and our last name is Curtis."
"Well, thank you for the Curtis-ey. Aye?" I said. I'm so punny... I need help.
"........."
There was utter silence.
I glanced around to see Two-Bit trying to hold in a huge laugh, all while my smile fell.
Then the thundering laughter erupted from everybody in the room.
I heard one of em wheeze a bit. Do they have asthma?
"Good one," Darry said with another light laugh.
"I'm Steve, by the way." A shorter boy said to me while stuffing his face with chocolate cake and washing it down with a swig of beer.
"Aaannnddd I'm pretty sure we've already met," that douchebag said to me.
I hate Dallas Winston. But maybe with Johnny's help I'll be able to tolerate him for a while.
But now at least I have a home. And a real family. I'm really gonna like it here. Alot.

Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long. I haven't even been active on Wattpad, let alone writing. But I'm here now and hopefully I'll be able to update every story once a week or every two weeks.
Cya!
