Chapter 8 - Trouble

Tessie P.O.V

I woke up early and change to one of my favorite's hoodies. After I brushed my hair and put it up in a ponytail, I run down the stairs. I got lot of time, so I go into the kitchen. My mom is sitting at the kitchen table, reading a magazine while drinking her coffee. She realize I am there and smile. "Good morning, honey" she turn to the next page. "Good morning" I open the fridge and take out the milk. "Tell me, why are you waking up so early today and these past days?" I find a glass and pour the milk. "Why? Should I stop it?" My mom giggle. "Oh no! I was just curious" I laugh and drink my milk.

When I get to school, I walk directly towards the classroom. On my way, I spot Mary talking with her friends further ahead. I look down and walk past her, pretending I didn't see her. Unfortunately, she saw me. "Tessie!" I stopped up and turned around to look at her. "Hey Mary" I fake a smile. "I hear that Alex and you are back together?" she looks irritated and sad, but try to hide it. "We are not" I say firmly, yet confused. Mary's eyes brighten up. "R-really?" I nod. "Where did you hear that?" She now looks at me as if I am stupid. "Alex told me" "WHAT!?" I can't believe him! I storm back to the school entrance, leaving Mary and her friends staring at me.

As I got out of school, I spot Alex with Ben and Matt. I walk directly over to him and he spots me, giving me a smile. That jerk! Think he can win me back like that? "Sweetheart! Good morning..." "Don't call me that!" I shouted at him. He looked surprised. Just when I was in front of him, I slapped him so hard I could. "Don't go around and lie to everyone! There is no way I would get back together with a JERK like you!" I shouted as loud that I could. Alex head looked down, so I couldn't see his face. Ben and Matt tried to help him, but he pushed them away. He laid his hand on his cheek. "How dare you..." I couldn't hear him. He stood up and looked at me, furiously. "HOW DARE YOU, YOU BITCH!" He landed a punch on my right cheek, so hard I fell over. "Alex!.." Both Ben and Matt was holding Alex back. I laid on the ground. My right cheek hurts. I looked up at Alex, who tried getting free from Ben and Matt, who hold him. "You are just some loser! Who do you think you are, calling me a jerk!? Moreover, even slap me!? YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He breaks out in anger. "Ha... hahaha... HAHAHA!" I break out in laughter. Alex and everyone watching stands in surprise and confusion. "I am stupid!" I laugh at Alex, who smirks after me giving him right. "I am stupid for ever liking someone like you!" I laugh even harder. Alex just gets more furious and violently shake Ben and Matt off. He storm over to me and give me another punch on the cheek. "YOU BITCH!" He takes my hair and lift me up, just so he can throw me. "ARG!" I scream from pain. Alex lift me up again and throw me. I landed at someone's feet. I look up and see Ann, all pale from fright. "T-Tessie? W-what is going on?" She shakes. Before I could answer her, Alex already lift me again. "STOP!" I scream, but he doesn't stop. I look around, no one is helping me, and they are just look the other way. Ann ran away. She had always been afraid of these kinds of scenarios. Alex punch me in my stomach. "ARG!!" I scream, but no one is helping me. He throws me once again and walk towards me. "I FUCKING HATE YOU!" He shouts. I glare at him. "I HATE YOU TOO!" I shouts. Alex was about to land another punch, but the teacher stopped him. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?" It's Mr. Goblin. He looks at me and then at Alex. "You two, principal's office NOW!" He says angrily.

Ann P.O.V

I wait on Tessie outside the principal's office. They have been in there the first three lessons. I'm still shaking. Poor Tessie... that damn Alex, how could he beat her!? And I saw too... I feel like a coward for running after the teachers, but what else could I do? As I was deep in thoughts, the door into the office opens. I turn around to see if it's Tessie. It is. She have blood on her knees and elbows, her right cheek is all red and her hair is ruined. She looks terrible. Tessie turns around and see me, then smiles gently at me. How can she smile? I jump up and hug her, feeling the tears flows out. "Oh Tessie! I was so worried, I thought you would die!" Tessie returns the hug. "Oh Ann, I am sorry for you to see such a frightening sight" "That doesn't matter, idiot!" I pull her out and look down at her. "Oh Tessie, I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop it!" I began to hulk. Tessie pulls me in to a hug and pat me on the head. "Don't worry, I'm fine." "How are you fine!?" We turn around to see who said that. It was William.

William P.O.V

As soon I heard the news I ran as fast I could to the principal's office. How could Alex do that to her!? As I got closer to the office, I saw a figure coming out from the office. I stopped and froze, as I saw that it was Tessie. There was holes in her jeans and she bleed from her knees and her elbows. She had scratches all over and her hair was ruined. I clenched my fist, trying to hold back my anger. I walked towards Tessie and Ann, who was hugging. "Don't worry, I'm fine" I heard Tessie say. "How are you fine!?" I said. They both turned around. "William..." Tessie said quietly and looked unhappy. I am so angry at Alex, but also myself. I wasn't there to protect her... I can't even protect the girl I love from my friend! I punch the wall beside me in frustration, which gives Tessie and Ann a fright. "W-Willian?" Tessie ask worried. What am I doing? I am making her worry about me, when it is me, who should be worried about her. I look at her, as she walks towards me. "Thank you for worrying about me, but really, I'm fine!" she says with a smile. I can see she means it, so I pull my hand back from the wall. "What happen?" I ask. Tessie looks down. "I turned Alex down for good, which made him go crazy." She says while smiling. It makes me happy to hear, that she turned him down. But just thinking about Tessie being beaten up like that, I feel like I'm going crazy. "Where is Alex!?" I ask while clenching my fists. Tessie takes my hand, which make me relax in my hand as I blush. She looks sad up into my eyes. "Please don't hurt him." She says. "What!? How could you say that!?" I raise my voice. "He got his punishment already, so stop! I don't want to be the reason you guys fight!" She shouts, as she looks me seriously in the eyes. How I love this side of her, but I can't let this slide. "What is his punishment!? Is it really enough?" Tessie let go of my hand and look at the ground. "He is expelled." She says. Expelled?

Tessie P.O.V

I look up at William to see, how he reacts. He is surprised, that's for sure. William looks at the floor and then at me again. "Are you sure you okay with this?" he ask. I nod with a smile, but he doesn't believe me. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine! Really!" I turn around and look at Ann, who looks worried with dry tears on her cheek. I walk over to Ann again and take her hand, then turn around to look at William. "I need to go now, I already missed three lessons! I can't miss any more!" I say it as cheerfully as possible. I wave at William and pull Ann with towards the toilet.

When we got to the toilet, I looked in the mirror. I looked terrible. I tried to brush my hair a little with my fingers and washed the blood of my knees and elbows. Ann stood at the door, waiting on me. I felt sorry for worrying her like this, but I kind of felt relieved. Alex is not going to attend this school, which means I don't have to see him ever again. I washed my hands and then I turn around to look at Ann. She still looked worried, but tried to smile. "Shall we go?" I reached my hand at her. She looked at it, smiled and took it. We walked hand in hand to the class.

When school was over, my mom called. I was on my way home with Ann. I took the phone up to my ear. "Hey mom-" "TESSIE!? Are you okay?" She shouted. I was surprised. "Y-yeah, why?" "Oh, don't you dare act tough like that! I know what happened! Your teacher called and told me EVERYTHING!" I stopped up. So she knew. I looked at Ann, who also stopped and looked curious and worried. "I-I'm sorry, mom." "You don't have to be! It was Alex you beat you up, so he should be sorry!" she yelled. I smiled sarcastically. "Yeah, I bet he is SO sorry right know" My mom didn't answer that. "Tessie, are you on your way home?" she asked. I looked at Ann. "Yeah, I'm with Ann right know. Why?" She took a deep breath. "What do you say to visit grandpa in some days?"
