That first week was a little hectic, just getting used to a schedule again and sticking to it enough to be on time for everything. As much as I enjoy watching my baby grow and as much as I'm happy in my life, it's not lost on me that Brian's taking this harder than I thought.

I'm worried about us, I feel like he's pulling away from me and I don't know how to fix things this time. I don't want to lose him but I wouldn't force him to stay if he wanted to leave. A family; a girlfriend and a child never keeps a man. Jessie loves her dad, if he decides that he doesn't want this life I'm not the only one that's gonna be heartbroken.

My worry is making me build scenarios in my head. I don't think he would leave but I can't guarantee that he won't. He misses the bullets, I'll never be able to get that out of my head. It isn't the girls, it isn't the cars . . . it's the damn bullets.

Dom tried to convince us to go to Race Wars with him and as much as I really wanted to go, I really didn't want to. I don't want to leave my daughter all day for something like that, it's not worth losing the time with her. I was proved right when Dom came back without Letty and she disappeared after that to "find herself".

"Charlie? Charlotte, come on, we still have to go get Mia and Nico!" Brian shouted from the first floor.

"I'll be right down, I'm finishing getting dressed!"

I pulled a green light jacket over a black cropped tank top and a pair of boyfriend jeans, which just means that I stole a pair of Brian's jeans. I pulled on my brown boots and an assortment of rings before grabbing my black purse and running downstairs.

We have a routine, we take the kids to school together then Brian goes to the garage with Vince and Dom. Vince is already there to open and get things ready. I was quiet in the minivan while Brian and Jessie joked around, we pulled up to Dom's a few minutes later. I got out to say good morning and Nico ran out to his uncle and cousin.

"What do you think kids? Parking brake slide right up to the school?" Brian asked as he loaded Nico into the car.

"Where's mommy?" he asked his uncle.

"I don't know, she's inside. She's coming, okay, here we go. Watch your head." Brian said to him.

"Dom! You have a package out here! It's from Tokyo!" I shouted.

"Tokyo? What, is Han trying to convert me over to a turbocharger?" Dom asked, walking out to me with Mia.

"Brian and Vince in minivans. Things sure have changed." Dom said, chuckling.

"I never thought Vince would calm down but he loves it." Mia said.

"Brian's struggling, Dom. He doesn't want me to see it but the white picket is like an anchor on him, I can tell. I tried to talk to him before we left on vacation and you know what he said? He doesn't miss the girls, he doesn't miss the cars. He misses the bullets." I told them, seeing the pity on Mia's face, pity that I don't want.
