T2 - Family Forever

Chapter 9

We saw all hell break loose upstairs and I started to panic, just a little bit.

"Come on, don't look at it. Let's get the hell out of here." Tej said, grabbing my hand and pulling me away from the screens.

"How the hell are they planning to get out of there with that car? We don't even know how this guy got the car in there, to begin with. Tej, tell me that they're not gonna do something stupid." I pleaded as we ran out of the building.

Our designated meet spot was an alley behind the buildings. The cars were all parked there just in case, hell, because we knew we were gonna need a quick escape. Roman and Letty are gonna meet up with us there, Dom and Brian, somehow, better show up too.

"I would love to tell you that, but I can't. Doing something stupid is the only thing that'll get them out of there." he said, squeezing my hand.

"I can't lose him, Tej."

"You won't, that's one thing that I'm damn sure of."

We got to the meet point before Roman and Letty but they weren't far behind us. A few seconds after all of us were together we heard and saw the Lycan hit the ground. I started hyperventilating but before I could move both Roman and Tej were holding me back.

"I'll go . . ." Letty started to say but was obviously shaken up.

"I'll check, both of you stay . . ."

"We're fine, we're up in the third building." I heard Brian say and I felt my legs just give out under me.

"What the hell just happened?" Tej asked him.

"We're on our way down now, stay where you are." Dom said.

"Wait a minute, we were in the first tower. How the hell did you . . . oh hell no." I growled, thinking back to what I heard him saying before we lost the comms.

"Charlie, now that could've been me in that car." Brian tried to reason.

"O'Conner, I will kill you. Expect it, because it's coming." I said, feeling the anger pulse through me.

"Take it easy, Charlie." Roman said.

"No, I'm with her. We should kill them and finish the job they started." Letty said, letting her hair out of the knot she put it in.

When they walked over to us Letty and I both punched them in the gut, making them double over.

"You idiot! Both of you!" I argued.

"Now is not the time, we've gotta go lay low somewhere." Dom said.

"I will kill you in your sleep buster, be afraid." I warned him before getting into the car.

I came in with him but left with Letty, both of us were fuming mad but extremely relieved at the same time.

"They're alive." I said when we were on the road.

"He's okay." she said, taking my hand.

"They're okay, don't think I didn't see that panicked look on your face. You remember, don't you?"

"I get flashes, a lot more now than before and a lot of it is finally starting to make sense. I remember a few things but I don't want to say anything until I have the full story. My past is a blur, I can see me and him in the Dominican Republic but I don't know why we were there or how we got there. I can see driving down the highway with two other cars, black Civics but I don't know what we were doing."

"That's something I can answer. That was the DVD heist, you guys made a pretty penny over those things. That all happened when I got back from school, that's when you all went your separate ways. You guys did a job in the DR, things were getting hot and Dom decided to leave you so that you weren't in as much danger as he was. That's when you came back home."
