T2 - Family Forever

Chapter 4

"What do you think, Dom?" I asked my cousin.

"Here?" Dom asked Roman, pointing to the same spot.

"Yeah." Roman said.

"I think we got a plan." my cousin said, surprising the hell out of me.

"Are you crazy?" I asked him.

"Completely wrong thinking and I like it." Mr. Nobody said with that weird smile all over again.

"You see? I'm good at this." Roman smirked.

"Good? Okay, how are you planning on getting on that road?" Sheppard asked, voicing the question burning my tongue.

"Well . . . Tej?" Roman asked.

"I think I might actually have a plan for that." Tej said, with a smirk of his own.

"Well this outta be good." I told Brian who was staring at his friend.

"What? I delegated, that's what good leaders do. Lead!" Roman told Brian.

"You know, when I was reading your files, I was impressed with what you've accomplished with your team. But meeting them now, I've gotta say, Dom, you've truly got a gift. Consider my workshop your new playhouse. I think you'll find our cars extremely appealing. And your team is now complete." he said pointing to where we came in from to show us that Letty was walking in.

She talked to Dom for a while before coming over to us. Brian and I hugged her after not seeing her for so long, it feels good to know that with everything going on she's safe.

"Charlie! We're gonna need long-travel suspension, limited-slip differentials on all of them." Dom told me, pointing to the cars we'll use.

"Got it, this is gonna be fun." I said, preparing for the work ahead of me.

"How are you doing?" Brian asked Letty.

"I'm good, I'm getting better I think. What the hell is going on here?" she asked us.

"We'll tell you in a bit." I told her, smiling when she grabbed my hand and laced her fingers with mine the way she used to.

"Tej! I want the demon love child between that and that." Dom ordered pointing at a Jeep Wrangler and a Charger.

"That's a lot of armor." I told Dom, confused with the direction he's taking.

"She's right, it's just gonna add more weight. Slow you down." Tej agreed.

"This time it ain't just about being fast." Dom replied.

"Carve my heart out cold-blooded will you?" I asked, dramatically hitting my chest and pretending to faint in Letty's arms.

"You're so extra sometimes." Letty chuckled.

"You love me." I argued.

"I think I do." she said.

"Oh my God! Did you just say you love me?" I asked.

"I said I think . . ."

"She said she loved me! Woohooo! She said she loved me! Sorry, Dom, I got the L word before you did!" I shouted, running around my team.

"Brian, how old is she again?" Tej asked.

"Sometimes I really ask myself that question on a regular basis. I don't think that's a good thing either." he replied, grabbing me around my stomach.

"Are you sure you can trust them?" I heard Sheppard ask Nobody.

"I'll have you know I'm a badass mechanic, driver and I could probably out shoot you!" I argued.
