"You okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah, this guy's just relentless." he complained.

"That's why Dom needs us. He said he's on his way to Tokyo to bring Han home, he didn't make it."

"You're not . . ."

"Don't waste time arguing with me. I'm going with you and that's final so shut up. We need to find this guy and we need to stop him before he does any more damage to our family. He almost killed my baby, Brian, and I want his head on a pike for it." I said, fighting to hold in my tears.

"You know, I just . . . I've screwed up so many things. I couldn't live with myself if I screw this up, too." he said, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"You won't, I believe in you. I believe in us more than anything. That's all that matters, I love you, Brian." I told him, cupping his neck.

With a smile, he leaned in for a kiss and I let him. It's a reassurance for both of us, we have to take care of each other. If not for ourselves then for Jessalyn, I will not let her lose her father and I will not lose him to the actions of some idiot who thinks he's gonna kill my family.

"I love you, baby." he said.

"Just promise, please, that after this we're done. No more jobs, no more enemies. We're coming back to Jessalyn."

"I won't let you down, Charlotte."

"I know. Now let's enjoy the day with Jessie before we have to get back to work." I told him.

"Let's do that." he said, taking my hand and pulling me out of the garage.

"Would you stop pulling me around?" I asked, making him laugh.

Leaving Jessie the day after was horrible, for me. She was ecstatic that she was spending a few days at this big house with the big pool, movie room and gaming room. I mean, Mando's house is a kid's dream house. It hurt me more than it hurt her, she's just having the time of her life.

Tej, Roman, and Dom were waiting for us at the airport. We went to my house to get dressed and went straight to the cemetery. Dom made all of the arrangements and the announcements so all we had to do was show up. I wore a black dress and matching black heels with gold tips, along with a gold clutch.

We let his family sit in front of the casket and kept our distance. The four of us stood together while Dom took a moment to say goodbye. Brian had his arm around my waist and Roman put his around my shoulders and they just let me die.

"At least they're together again." I whispered.

"I can't do no more funerals." Roman said.

"First Han, now Hobbs is laid up, of all the people. We're being hunted, you know he's out there somewhere watching, right?" Tej asked.

"I hope so, means he's close." Brian said, tightening his grip on my waist.

"Just promise me, B, no more funerals." I begged.

"Yeah, what she said." Roman said.

"Just one more, his." Brian replied.

Suddenly Dom walked off and got into his car, we heard his engine revving and saw a car on the opposite street.

"He's been here all of this time?" I asked them.

"Let's get out of here, I don't like feeling this exposed." Brian said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders to escort me away.

"Me neither let's go." Tej said.

As soon as we got home I put my hair up and changed my clothes. I pulled on a pair of high waisted jeans with brown boots and a burgundy hoodie. I can't take the black funeral clothes anymore, not when it means he's gone.
